Need to check whether I've paid my tax bill, and sort out car insurance (runs out at the end of the month). But not tonight. Still unloading the second load from the DW and attempting to clear the kitchen up. Lots of stuff needs moving to the freezer and I need to prep vast numbers of courgettes to turn into curry to freeze before they rot.1

So I got all the descaling done yesterday, and listed some more V*nt*d bits and remembered to make my appointment for pneumonia jab. Was very surprised when the receptionist said they had an appointment at 1.50pm today! Was expecting to have to wait weeks. So will pop down there in a bit, and drop off the CS stuff that never got taken yesterday.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Two OATS crossed off that have been on the list for some time - contact pension provider from an old previous employer to let them know that unfortunately I won't be retiring next month as their records show and asked them to amend to two years time. Also contacted an ancient benefits scheme Mr SA was in when he first started work, paperwork of which was buried under a pile of things to deal with, to update address as it was still showing the address he lived at with his parents back in the 80s.
No idea why I'd been putting these things off because collectively they took 10 minutes tops.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Fabulous old OATing @Sun_Addict
I have not done anything outstanding but I have also not lost my temper or my mind dealing with build so counting that as a big win. For today. Making no promises for future days 😁3 -
Took and held my temper through a call from the company that arranged our life insurance 5 years ago when we bought the house. As I predicted, at the start of the call … there was no possible saving on a new policy. A new policy would cost us an extra £15 pcm …! Nuh-huh! 🙄😂🤷♀️😉
KKAs at 15.07.25:
- When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

I'd like to join you all to help me tackle my Oaty things. We have a storeage locker of stuff coming home in a few weeks so we agreed last weekend to go through the rest of the house and be ruthless while we still have a bit more room to manouvre. As a result my broken case and falling apart rucksack are in black bags ready for rubbish day on Friday. I've also listed two items on trash nothing. One of them is a bean bag cover we last used in 2009! Bit too stiff for beanbags now. I plan to tackle the next section at the bottom of the wardrobe on Friday. Need to keep at it.4
