Thanks @Baileys_Babe - I have just been out to buy salt (already had citric acid) so will give this a go! It sounds as if it works even at a lower concentration than the recipe.

I went for a pedicure this morning. I got dark blue last time and it was quite hard to remove so I got pale pink. I always feel like I'm walking on air afterwards.  :)

I went to the flooring shop afterwards and booked the man to come round next week. I want carpet on the stairs and landing and laminate in our bedroom. I have a list of things I want doing around the house so that will be a big thing ticked off when that is done.

I'm going to start a new book while having the tennis on in the background.

I've been working on the irrigation system in the veg plot and am trying to work out whether I need one big loop, two smaller ones, or possibly even several smaller ones. It might well be determined by the number of different types of connectors I have!

I've also tipped oxygenator down the second chamber of the septic tank as it seems to be quite smelly today and the wind direction means I can smell it in the house and garden. I'm really hoping that I can solve it without having to have the soakaway dug up and replaced.

I did leave it to soak for longer than 20 minutes to try and compensate for the weaker solution.

Yesterday I cleaned and sprayed the coops. It's the first time in 4 years I've used chemicals on them but the weather has been encouraging critters and I didn't want to get the dreaded red mite. You know when you just have a little warning in your gut? Hopefully no more nasty chemicals needed for another few years or ever. I also gave my downstairs bathroom a good clean, as it's been the sick animal and quarantine ward for the past month or two.
Today I am going to finish painting the conservatory. I started it months ago and only had a little corner left, but the old paint was peeling there and then I put tomatoes there and stopped thinking about it. Tomatoes moved, spiders moved, old paint peeled off. Just need to find some sandpaper, do a mist coat, then a final coat. I should have just enough time if I focus 😆
before I go out for tea. It's only about a metre square, so silly that I didn't finish it at the time.

Excellent OATing @rachmach3, and I agree, always trust your gut. There's so much our brain and body notice while our conscious is busy getting us through the day!

I did a walk to see if I could return the gift and as suspected they wouldn't return it without the original debit card and I wasn't accepting gift card before being mse and seeing where the best deal is, so that still needs to be dealt with but at least I did the initial investigation (I had tried to do it via the Boots online chat but there was no option of a human and their chatbot is absolutely dire so no answer was forthcoming)

I have finished painting the conservatory!
The conservatory and the dogs bedroom (big cupboard) are the only 2 rooms in the house I've finished. I've been here almost 7 years 🤣
Most of my tomatoes and cucumbers are now in their final position and poled or strung to the roof. I just have to decide which variety I'm going to pot up into the final space. That is definitely a job for tomorrow.

I have a very dull week ahead! :) Today is the windows and gutters man, tomorrow is a nurse appointment, Wednesday is the flooring man to give us a quote and Friday is physical therapy. I am going to try and read at least two books this week too. I am going to miss having Wimbledon to watch too and there isn't as much football to watch now as well.
