5) Posting here, for some reason, this is becoming an OAT of its own despite it also being a motivating factor in dealing with many other OATs. When I have conquered an OAT, I often think, I need to mention that on my OAT update tonight and then don't post at all 🤦

Well sort of an OAT in that those mesembryanthemums I mentioned were taking over? Today the first flower - of many I can only hope. How can one be so excited by one little flower?Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Aw @Baileys_Babe, don't let the OAT thread become an OAT! Maybe jot down your thoughts/achievements in a note on your phone then you can copy and paste when suits you!4

I was so tired today but did essentials with the main job being shower and hairwash so at least I'm a clean lazy person 😁4

Very well done @Blackcats, that’s a very grown up and adulting OAT!

I have made some progress:
Tidied the garage (mainly because SS wanted to take his Dads motorcycle out for the first time and I had boxed it in as a burglar deterrent) and assembled a cardboard mountain for the recycling collection. Must not just dump things in the garage doorway.
Tasks ahead of the start of the works tomorrow:
Ordered the toilet and basin for the ensuite to be - last minute effort by me. Think I know which towel radiator and cupboard I want, but need to check with the spark to make sure it is suitable.
Scraped off ancient wallpaper, removed the hard board from half of the floor and used the cats paw thingy to lift out the nails. Fretted about the state of the ancient floor boards and ordered some treatment stuff to apply today.
Tried to sort out replacing the spare bedroom blind as the old one is broken, gave up and eventually managed to fit a temporary solution with a net curtain hanging wire so I can either make a simple curtain today or just use a bit of fabric over it if I run out of time today.
Treated some of the mould in the spare bedroom.
Must sort getting the damp treatment people in before it gets any worse.
I also get the 'ooh flower' excitement - those pots look lovely @SallyforthMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Finished OAT:
x 6 cushion covers made from fabric stash
Partially finished:
Have bought radiator paint and new filters for the carpet cleaner so the radiator painting and carpet cleaning will be done by the end of the month.
I've also bought some wadding to make a sofa seat pad and have the sewing machine set up in readiness - maybe this week.
Appointment letter for annual diabetic eye screening has been received but I'll need to change it - the day/date are fine but not the venue. For reasons known only to themselves, they always seem to want me to go to the least convenient place!
Another OAT that wasn't on my original list but is being chased up:
Still haven't heard anything about my application for Pension Credit (applied at the end of November last year) so I've emailed my MP who has replied to say he's raised the matter with the DWP and will write again when he's had an update. I may not even get it but it would be handy to know one way or the other!Be kind to others and to yourself too.3 -
Oops, I too have been guilty of letting the OATs thread become an OAT 🙈😂😂
Still, yesterday I FINALLY got round to reattaching the water butt pipes on both sides of the greenhouse. Prompted by running out of water and having to traipse back and forth to the (small) butt near the house. Obviousoy last night's promised rain didn't arrive, so now I'm crossing my fingers for a downpour tonight, which I'm not sure is forecast either. That'll teach me for not doing it earlier!
My mum came over for a brief visit and we signed the correction forms for her LPA. Hopefully that'll be the end of it!6
