PIP - reading a book in a day is a great achievement.
the re-potting of the succulents has been completed - finally. Took about 20 minutes after putting it off for weeks.

Pulled out a few nasturtiums that seem to want to take over and plonked them in a pot together. They have two chances of survival. Glared at my mesembryanthemums that also seem to want to dominate my pots without signs of flowers. I know they can be pretty because my local nursery randomly sent me some as part of a pot luck lockdown delivery in 2020 but now I’m doubting my decision to repeat order!
I also have a silvery plant I need to relocate to its own pot home. It is far too healthy for my liking.
Other than that not much other than getting my home cooking mojo back somewhat. Leftover chicken and mushroom pasta today with cowboy caviar, coleslaw, balsamic beetroot, leaves and a glass of Gavi. Carrot and coriander soup for lunch tomorrow.Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Not overdue or annoying but I've made 2 personalised cards on moon 🐖. This was a bit fiddly as the photos I used weren't on the device I use to make the cards but I think the recipients will be very pleased so well worth the effort.I also tackled a proper OAT. When I was knitting the sleeve of my latest project I kept thinking "this sleeve is very long" but I didn't act on my intuition and soldiered on til the end. I knew I needed to check before I started the 2nd sleeve so of course I put this off for 2 weeks but eventually I pinned it into place and can confirm that an orangutang would be thrilled to have a jumper custom made for their very long arms. Sleeve unravelled and started again and I'll keep a much more vigilant approach to the sizing.6

Shattered today after the open gardens yesterday, but I have been soaking the house plants before putting them back, and bringing others into the kitchen and doing those. Quite a few need repotting sometime this year.
Unbelievably the blind company have managed to send the wrong parts for the third time (I've already had a refund for the blind they remade exactly the same size as the one that they made too small). If they can't get this one right then they need to understand that I ordered three matching blinds - so if I can't use one, I don't need the other two.
I need to remember to do something about my house insurance as I had a renewal notice and it has gone up a huge amount. So I should probably research alternatives to at least make sure that it's not wildly different from the alternatives.6 -
@Blackcats: I've done this on more than one occasion - annoying, isn't it?
@greenbee: The phrase "can't put common sense where it isn't" springs to mind. Numpties.
Another OAT completed - cables for TV etc wrangled together with the help of velcro strips and cable hooks.Be kind to others and to yourself too.3 -
@greenbee, when I’m in work it’s at this point I would start demanding an a formal 8D investigation and corrective action! 😉🙄😂

@KajiKita - I can suggest they get you round to sort them out? What I might suggest is that they provide a parts list with each blind so that customers have the correct SKU rather than trying to describe the part over the phone. Although at this point I’m beginning to think I just want a refund and to forget about it.Still shattered, but the dog has a vet appointment at 9.30 (to discuss having his bits off 😈) so I can’t go back to bed. And I have a 1-2-1 with my boss today where as usual I will fail to meet any of his unrealistic expectations.House plants soaked overnight need putting back and the next batch shoving in (I’m feeding them as well), and the vast box of bare root plants that have arrived need shoving into pots of compost so they survive the summer and are ready to go into the new beds whenever they are created.3

Stinky has been taken to the vet and booked in for the snip.
Blind company have been spoken to - this guy claims to have actually gone to the parts dept to check the part number, but I'm not holding out too much hope that they'll get it right. I did mention that maybe their quality manager should be working out what's going on as there's been a lot of wastage on this order.
Now need to prepare for my 1-2-1 with my boss.3 -
Achieved nothing other than getting up and going to work, but when you're feeling rough that is A Good Achievement in my book!4
