Interesting……..no sign of anything on any of the five accounts held between my wife and I.  Anyone else in that position?
just 2 things spring to mind but probably obvious.

your rewards hadn't expired last month? did you get £5 in to each account 12th/13th of this month?
you completed the requirements in September?

i am sure if "missing" payments was a widespread issue this board would be much busier right now.

    good luck.

Thanks - I think the rewards must have expired - there were no £5 payments in September, the first time they've been 'missing'.

Two of the accounts had their first reward payments in September 2020. The other three received their first payments in July 2009.  So logically none of them could have been renewed after the 17 June 2025 cut-off date.

Downgraded one account so far, got email to say card and PIN on way?
That's strange, normally you just keep same details, account number, card and pin
I downgraded 2 and never received anything about new cards

I downgraded 3 accounts and got 3 similar emails. Card numbers not changed on the app though, perhaps a new card won’t be sent for the accounts despite the emails? The account numbers are also unchanged.

This is just an automated email, the same one as if you open a new account. They don't send out another card.
  • Just downgraded my accounts but still showing as reward, I guess it updates overnight?

I downgraded 3 accounts last night. The accounts showed as basic current accounts (ie not Reward Current Accounts) more or less immediately. Maybe try logging out and then back in?

I had set custom names for mine (1, 2, 3 suffix), which I needed to reset to see the new account type. Perhaps this issue is something similar?

Just wondering if the reward payoff payments are taxable? The £5 monthly payments weren't taxable, Does the same apply to the payoff amounts?

It's a one-off payment, so doesn't fall into any of the taxable categories. Similar to a switching incentive. This should be the case even for those who opted for the keep £5k in the account option (where their monthly reward was taxable as an annual payment).
