I just renewed my accounts to start the new Reward cycle form 1 June 2025, so I'm hoping I'll get it for the full year they promise in the Ts and Cs.
If so, then it's lucky my renewal cycle fell in this month as I assume anyone who's renewal comes up after 17 June won't be able to get another year.
When did your renewal become available? Was it 1st May to renew 1st June? Or was it only in the last few days?
Mine renew in July so I'm hoping I can renew before 17th June.
I received an email on 24 April and was able to renew anytime between 1 and 31st May ready to kick in from 1 June.

My renewal was due near the end of June.  I've just been able to renew and got a confirmation message that the reward applies until June 2026.  The reward tracker still shows the 2025 date though.

So it looks like the renewal option comes available a bit more than a month before the renewal date.

Potentially a few spare accounts available for switching incentives later in the year if the new rewards are disappointing.

Luckily, 2 of my accounts would renew in December and the other in January so should be able to get the rewards on all 3 accounts until the end.
one would assume the £5 will continue till your 12 month runs out as that what it states each time you renew but theres a point made on the linked story in the OP that it may be ending September, FULL stop.
I don't think it will end in Sep as would break the T&Cs

Agreed. Info was from a third party site quoting someone from Halifax who told him so all unverifiable whereas the above official Halifax black and white terms are clear (probably!)
Unless there is something in the account T/C that allows them to change the rewards with 90 day notice? It would be surprising if they do not have that. Given 2 of the quoted rewards will be supplied by a 3rd party.

Given the top line "Under the Current offers"
I can't find the T&Cs of the Reward account only the Reward itself. Under the T&C's page all it has is a starting guide. Seems strange they don't publish their full T&Cs

Found this in the Reward Extra FAQ today on here.

I think there'd be cause for complaint if the existing rewards are cut short.
Yea, my rewards are due to renew in Feb-Apr next year. I can't see any T&Cs that suggest they would be allowed to change the rewards unilaterally, so I'm also interest to see how they approach this.

The changes are now mentioned on the Halifax website:

    https://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/current-accounts/reward-current-account.html

"Reward Current Account is getting a refresh later this year. To make way for this, from 17 June 2025, you’ll no longer be able to add Reward Extras to your account or renew an existing Reward Extras offer. Watch this space for more information on the new benefits coming very soon."

Can't see anything about the hard stop from 30 September. And if they're allowing people to add Reward until 17 June, it seems odd that they would stop it a few months later.

Requested a copy of the T&Cs for my reward current account via chat, told it can't be sent and to go into branch with ID  :#

All we know is that the Rewards scheme is being refreshed later this year.

No one knows (other than Halifax) what they'll be replacing it with. Maybe they'll get rid of the £5, maybe they won't. Maybe we'll have to do something different to get £5.

"Halifax told me that the whole account is being revamped, and that there will be new rewards later this year – but they couldn’t tell me what these are just yet. The new features will be announced in July."

    In other words h
e knows no more than the rest of us but has assumed and presented as fact that the £5 will be scrapped. Fake news and shoddy writing.

Just found this tucked away in the T&Cs regarding a change to the paying in £1,500 per month requirement with the Reward Current Account from 2nd June 2025.
