The new '£5 for spending £500' reward was paid as is on the grounds that it is cashback, and so not taxable.1

Yea but all we got was a fiver times multiple accounts ,account opening incentives and a fiver on the clarity card if you spent £300 a month.
You could get compo if they messed up too which was often better than jumping thru all the hoops but was never monthly in my case.
Claiming the 20% depended on varibles.....
I dont think that many bothered but some would have as a thread existed on it .0 -
I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but those of us who renewed our July-expiring rewards just before the window closed seem to have got another years worth. Mine has updated from saying it expired 31st July 2025 to 31st July 2026. Sadly my other two were opened later in the year, but one out of three isn't bad.1

It's coming into line with the club Lloyds except the refundable fee is £3 and the pay in is £1500 more like the older terms of Lloyd's
Perphaps they will offer a club regular saver 6.25%
