Thriftlady - I cant bear any High School Musical but both my kids adore it and now we have it on sing star - its so cheesy - mind you I remember my mum and dad whining about fame which my sister and I watched religously.

Well have had quite a lazy day, did go to Makro and have enough toilet roll and laundry supplies to last me quite some time, didnt get tempted by anything else - it was empty in there today, at one point just me and loads of staff - very unusual.

Will have lots to do tomorrow but cant moan as have recharged my batteries today, just about to jump in the bath then will be telly watching.

Oh did do one other thing today, checked flight times for our holiday and realised we were flying out at 10am instead of the 12.30 I thought, so have booked a hotel for the night before (via quidco) so our holiday will be starting a day earlier.:j

    Hi all,
i`ve managed to post in the wrong bit today so i`ve pinched a bit and copied it here just so you all know i`m not absent lol
this morning we went for a nice long walk with the dogs in the snow and then nipped to the shops.

We then spent the afternon making 4 roast chicken dinners ( 2 will be reheated in the microwave tomorrow) some nice stew in the pressure cooker that has yet to have the cooked chicken added to it and in the slowcooker there is a ton of veg and different types of beans and pulses with chicken stock just waiting to be switched on overnight, i`ve even got the breadmaker filled up ready for the economy 7 switching over later on too.
I feel quite pleased with myself today:D
You can tell we`re both still off work using leave as we`re off out tonight to do the local pub quiz with one of the neighbours so thats a nice change to look forward to, i`ll catch up with todays posts a bit later when i come home.

    Evening :hello:

    ((((hugs)))) to scuzz

I have finally got The Bug That's Going Round - it's just a bad cold, but feel crap and the main thing is that my throat feels like sandpaper.. Went to work today but will stay home if I am still feeling crap tomorrow (I can afford to have tomorrow off, workload-wise, whereas next week would be a lot more tricky, so it's best to get myself better a.s.a.p.

I did get a few things done today, though, including buying next year's Christmas cards in the Clinton's sale ;)

Currently watching How to Look Good Naked :j :j

    Evening everyone :hello:

Haven't had time to read the thread, but I've noticed that Bargain Rzl has caught the lurgy too. I do sympathise, having had it myself for a while. DH wants me to tell you all about what a "good guy" he's been whilst I've been sniffling like a good 'un! He's made Lemsips, done the shopping (to a strict list given by me, naturally ;)) etc etc. Yes, he is reading this over my shoulder. :rotfl:

We've had a very lazy day today. I did try to start to do the ironing, but the base plate needed cleaning and I managed to get muck all over the ironing board cover.

I've got a shopping list to write up tonight, linked in with my meal plan. That'll be a job for me to do tomorrow. Oh joy.

Anyway, I'll go and read the rest of the thread now.

    Evening all

Have had a very productive day. Went to Lidl and spent £20, cleaned downstairs, helped DS with homework (aacompanied by loads of moaning), made bread rolls and had a rant at my old man about his general lack of helpfulness in the housework department.

Have made a rota out for next week to go with my shifts as I find trying to do everything flylady style is great until I go to work. I also need to fit in studying everyday as my next module arrives next week.

Off to put some bread in the breadmaker to come on in the early hours.

Have a good night all :A xxxxxx
