:hello:
*tru shivers*
I've just made a hot choccy and put the heating up to 70 degrees F - that's about 21 degrees C, I think.
No snow here yet but it looks like it's about to start.
I went to town this morning, it's busier now than it was before Christmas  I bought mr tru's birthday presents, new oven gloves, some bits from Iceland and a nice shiny new invoice book for me
I still have some paper to shred, and it's too dark for me to take decent pics for my ebay stuff (which I'm actually going to list on ebid instead), the normal lights make everything look yellowy and my daylight lamp is too bright
Off to do my clicks, see you later.Bulletproof0 -
I spent far too long on the pc yesterday ... did get loads of bits sorted but mostly non-essentials so wanna switch off shortly (although DD1's just informed me that she's gonna have a go in a min).
Lol ..... I'm still here....... and still in my pj's
Ok.... I felt so bad typing that that went and got washed and dressed and am back fresh faced with a cup of tea raring to go
I wonder why I get more done in my pj's than when I'm dressed? does anyone else find that or am I just strange? I've done 3 loads of washing and have been ironing as it comes out of the washing machine and really enjoying it :T Everything's in it's place now ... have taken Xmas decorations down and feel much better for it. Just need to hoover but am lucky that kids enjoy it so will get them to do a room each while I do dinner.
Right..... enough gabbing and off to the outside world :T

His presents are MUCH more exciting than that, I'll have you know. He has a laptray and an apron :rotfl: He really wants the laptray  and the apron is because he thinks he's a chef
He'll get his real present on the day too, he ALWAYS wants something for the garden so we'll go out on sunday and he can chooseBulletproof0 -
Hello All,
I do enjoy coming home from work, grabbing something quick to eat and drink and then sitting down for a good hour or so reading through the OS Daily Thread:j
Hugs to all of you who are feeling unwell.
DH is back to work today, so in a minute I will get on and start tidying up the sitting room, also I need to put the WM on. I am now down to 1 1/2 black bags of washing so I am getting there ....I must never let it pile up like this again
Tomorrow, I need to complete our 2008 budget sheet. I am determined that this year I am going to have an allocation for birthdays & christmas, and that I (and DH) will stick to it.
Dinner today is the rest of what was left from yesterday's meal together with some of the cooked veg that I didn't eat from the day before yesterday (bubble & squeak maybe?) I am only catering for myself today so it's going to be a scratch meal.
I joined the Jan Grocery Challenge and I am amazed at how focussed it has made me be of every penny that I spend, and also in how it reminds me to look in the pantry and freezer first before preparing a meal.
I must get on now, take care all.
January 2025 Grocery Challenge: £220.00/£59.47
January 2025 NSD: 0/30 (unplanned spending)

Afternoon all - I'm a bit late as I've had a busy day so far, as I'm off work this week. Breakfast was very lowfat yoghurt with fresh blueberries - so scrummy and filling. Went to the gym this morning to try my new upper body weights routine which was fab (so good to be exercising again), and will do lower body tomorrow. Working on a gym folder to take so I have all my relevant info with me. May do a tae-bo DVD later as I'm quite fired up. Got back around lunchtime and we had grilled bacon rolls, then we started cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry. May do a mini-spa session - facepack etc as I fancy a bit of pampering. Dinner tonight is salmon steaks, jacket spuds or rice, and veg; DH's fledgling turn to cook so nothing too scary for him.0

Afternoon all :hello:
Hugs to everyone who is feeling rough.
OH is back to work and I've spent the day trying to get the laundry under control. Having difficulty getting it all dry and the ironing is growing faster than I can get it down.
Popped into town to find present for Stepmum's birthday next week but no joy. I did manage to get 10 presents for the girls' friends'birthdays through the year for under £20. I got some lovely jewelery boxes and art sets from Semichem and as I'd normally spend £10 on each of them I've saved a fair bit.Bought the girls a new outfit each and some foodie bargains in Tesco.
Roast Chicken for tea tonight as part of my finely honed meal plan. I HAVE to stick to it cos it's all tailored to use each night's leftovers. So tommorrow night is cream of chicken broth (I bought tons of cream at Christmas.)
No more drivel today I don't think so I'll be off.

AFTERNOON EVERYONE....
have just come back from a long walk on the beach !!!!! dd wanted to take some photos as there is a sunken concrete boat from the war that you can see at low tide, i knew it would be freezing so we wrapped up nice and warm and took a flask, on the walk home we passed a pub that was saying " loraine.. come in... i have yummy food " so we did !!!!!!! we have been out for almost 4 hours !!! still no snow here (sob, sob )
have just had a nice bubble bath and hot coffee, am going to snuggle up with the cat and dd and watch Dirty Dancing
have a good evening everyone x x x xslimmimg world weight loss 6lbs
started 27/1/100 -
Can there possibly be a worse film than High School musical 2? What possessed me to buy it for dd when she already had High School Musical 1? Oh my word, it is truly awful -none of them can sing a note, they all have really shrill voices...when will it ever end ? Ds2 has just gone and told her that it is 'absolute poo'.
Wish I had Dirty Dancing to watch.
Anyway enough of that, my New Year's resolution to use up everything in my cupboards and fridge has got off to a good start. We've just had a veg-pasta dish using up 3 different kinds of pasta. I'm feeling really enthusiastic about this and have been compiling a list of meal possibilities using up my stuff. The only things I'm not planning to try and use up are the rows of hm jam and jelly. But, they're supposed to last all year anyway0 -
We went for our walk this afternoon. Decided to go on the bus to Wilkinson and walk back, boy was it cold!!!!!!!!!!!! No snow and it doesn't look like we will get any now Rain forecast for tomorrow.
Just had our supper, macoroni cheese and salad, with fruit after...just about to have a cup of tea and settle down to watch TV.
We are watching the weather in New York just now, we are thinking of going next year just after Christmas, when the fares are lower. After the warmth of Florida, we do not want to give our systems too much of a shock. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
