  • Morning all

Should have got up when I was awake this morning which was 5am:eek: rather than trying to go back to sleep. Have a day off today so intend to start cleaning this pit. Also DS back at school tomorrow so need to help him with his homework.

SCUZZ sorry to hear you are so down, I'm a union rep and it's not on.

TAPLADY sorry to hear your worrying news. My best friend went through a very similar thing, she had bladder cancer and then they found she had abnormal breast tissue. Thankfully she is ok but they keep a close eye on her.

HUGS to all who need them especially those going back to work. I guess the best thing about my job is that I don't get a break over Xmas. I remember when I did and it was a nightmare going back.

All this talk of egg and chips yesterday sounds good. Need to look through freezer and put a list of what we have on the outside. Also need to look at last of nibbles ect from Xmas. DS can have them in his lunchbox over the next couple of weeks. Have told DS and OH that I will really be cutting back over the next few months as I have a credit card I want to pay off by April.

Off to complain to Argos, they have charged me £12 for a late payment when I never recieved the bill! Before I joined this site I wouldn't have complained.

Have a good day all:A xxxxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

I can't believe I am going back to work after 2 years! and back to the same job which I loved! It is going to be sooo cold though at break time brrrr! Off to find my scarf and gloves. I have got until 2.30 before I have to leave so will make some more bread in the bm and get some hm soup going to warm us up.

DD has her follow up appointment at the doctors today so hoping all is well.

Catowen that was a great bargain on the eggs! I believe that you can freeze them if you mix them up with some sugar so suitable for cakes. I love quiche too.

Hope everyone ok, over the holidays I wandered over to the dfw board - very friendly, and joined the living on £4000 challenge so hopefully that will focus me and I can pay down more of the mortgage.

(((hugs))) to taplady, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Take care and stay warm everyone!

    Catz x

Hello everyone :hello:. Haven't posted again for a few weeks, hope everybody is OK.

((hugs)) to Scuzz, anniebooklover and anyone else who needs one today. Good luck at work, catznine.

Got both the boys at home today and was going to take them out to the country park (we have an annual parking pass so it is good free entertainment - kind of), but it is so cold out there! So I think we will go to the big Tesco, exchange a couple of christmas presents, and do the food shop. Got to scount around for some meal planning ideas - we are snowed under with kale and I have no idea what to do with it!

Ooh, AussieLass, I love aubergines! Do you have the stuff for a ratatouille? Or you can put them in spag bol (yum), or roast/grill them to make baba ganoush which tastes gorgeous - yummy :)

I know I said I was going to switch pc off so I didn't spend too much time on it however.... I'm still here!!

Well have just popped back on to read what everyone's up to. Had scrambled egg n toast for breakfast ... love having a hot brekkie when it's cold outside :-) crazychik read about ur ear while eating it  eugh lol

anniebooklover hope bug disappears soon and u're feeling good as new ... don't think the head in the freezer thing's the best idea though :rotfl:

I've sorted more paperwork out and can nearly see the table now  to-do list just keeps on growing though. I will sort out the ringing around when kids go back and do the money makeover from scratch.

Lunch will be ham/cheese/sweetcorn pasta with veggies and fruit salad for pud if don't eat at friends. Tea will be chicken, rice n dumplings.

I love powdered milk!! I bought it for the first time and am finding it very very good value for money. Will still buy milk for lo's as don't think they will get the nutritionaly value they need from powdered (will they? ) but will def use powdered when can.

Am going to put wash on and then start on the to-do list

I did try a ratatouille but for all the flaffing around (well my recipe was) it wasn't that great. Pen Pen gave me a recipe for a spag bolg/pasta dish which I'll try and I've never even heard of baba ganoush. Off to google. :D

Annie Ol Sour Puss  you've got to be kidding. :D Maybe when our lemons come on. ;) Hope you feel better soon. Good idea chopping your head off. You'd save a fortune on makeup. :D

Jet I mix my powdered milk with normal milk. I buy skim powdered and decant my full cream milk into two containers and then add the made up powdered milk. Makes our milk go twice as far and really cheap. I don't like pm by it itself.

Well I'm going this time. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning everyone,

DD1 and DS are back to school but had to take DD2 to the dentist and she has had to have 2 fillings in her top teeth - luckily on in her baby teeth and apparently she has an adult tooth pushing through on the bottom so thats why she has had so much pain. She is not going back to school today she can go in tomorrow as she is still numb and the dentist said she will be uncomfortable later.

Going to make some cakes today with the reduced priced eggs that i bought.
Got a small pile of ironing waiting for me too. Got to do it today as off to work tomorrow morning.

Hugs to anyone who wants/needs one.

    Have a good day

    Morning all,

No snow here either! Lucky really as I'm driving to Wales shortly to visit my nan.

This morning I've put the ironing away and read this post and that's it. Not very productive. :o

Oh well I should be home alone tonight so will try and get things done then instead.

Have a good day all, keep your chin up if you're stuck at work!

Might pop back on later when I'm home. xx
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...
