    Morning all

Freezing here this morning but no snow - although I'm sure it's on it's way.

DD's were not impressed about going to school this morning but the house is lovely and quiet and all the housework is done - just waiting for the DW to finish and i'll empty it and put some soda crystals in to give it a good clean out - will do the WM too on a hot wash just to make sure.

Woke up at 1.30am to the annoying ..............beep................................beep............................beep of the battery running low in the smoke alarms. That was fun trying to sort out as we'd no idea how to open the blummin thing  Took us nearly half a hour by which time both DD's were awake, the cats wanted feeding and I was wide awake and freezing cold........why do these things never run out during the day???

Lasagne for tea, might do a blackberry and pear crumble too whilst the oven is on, made some muffins last night for DD's lunch boxes as a surprise - chocolate button and hundreds and thousands - hope they make them smile when they open their lunch boxes today.

Hope you all have a great day - and for those with the snow :snow_grin ...enjoy!

    Good Morning All

Only a dusting a of snow here! Hope we dont get anymore! I hate the stuff.

Myself & DS have the doctors later, his ear is still blocked, and mine's leaking some yukky stuff again!

Car will go in the garage today, as OH couldnt see where the burning smell is coming from the other day!

Best be off and dry my hair before work.
    Have a great day

Morning all and big hugs to people who aren't enjoying their work at the moment!

It's freezing here too - Cambridge - but no snow yet. Hopefully it will stay off as DH has gone to work on his motorbike - I have taken the car so far this year as it's been so cold!

Spent the past week pottering about the kitchen cooking lots of lovely food to eat and I must admit I've run out of steam a bit - it often happens like this, I'll get cycles of inspiration, but last night not even my trusty cook books could get me out of this:mad: Oh well, a few nights of freezer food or pasta and sauce won't hurt.

Off to my Abs and Butt (don't laugh!) class at lunchtime - start the year as you mean to go on, and all that!

    Have a good day!

Well the eggplant croquettes were delicious. :D You can freeze the uncooked mixture as well so that was good. I had enough to do another 9. So whacked them in the freezer. That one will be a definate stayer. Thanks Pen Pen will copy & paste that and will try later in the week.

Snow......................how exciting. :j :j :D Kyle post a piccy of it for me & throw a snowball at Twink for me too. ;)

MrsMix I hope your sofa turns up today.

Off to have a bit of a surf, shower, then hit the sack. Nitey night. Byeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning everyone

Donny gal have a lovely time with your friends.
scuzz I really hope something turns up for you soon. It must be so hard having to bite your tongue every day.
aussie if you are drowning in eggplants, couldn't you ask old sourpuss to sell some? :p:D
((((hugs)))) to everyone who needs/wants one. I can't remember anything anyone has said and I have just read the thread!

Feeling absolutely awful today. The bug progresses and one side of my neck is very tender with swollen glands. My throat is raw and sore and I could cheerfully cut my head off and stick it in the freezer until its better. Went into w**k yesterday but my boss took one look at me and sent me straight back home again. Didn't get the benefit of an extra day off as all I wanted to do was lie down and drink lots of tea (not at the same time!). Not going to job No 2 either today. Boss 2 sounded relieved as he said I sounded awful too.

On the plus side, I haven't been eating much so I know that I'm continuing to lose weight. :j

Off to eat something with a :coffee: . Enjoy the snow, those of you who have it. DS and DD will be so jealous of you. They have really missed it.

    xx

  • Morning all, no snow here (West Sussex), not even any rain that was forecast, maybe it will come later. Its a little cold and windy again though. Looking forward to a nice day in with the boys. DH has got my car today as his is out of action until we can get it into the garage to be fixed. Went to Mr T's last night and got some bargain chipolata sausages reduced from £1.39 to 29p! Got lots for the freezer and some for sausage sandwiches today (ds1's favourite). Hugs and best wishes to all who need them, gotta go and dish up breakfasts and get showered. Take care all.

  • Morning everyone.

I so hope it doesn't snow - 2 years ago it took me seven hours to get home instead of 30 minutes... I will run home as soon as it starts:(

All good here, my ingredients for the vegan Salami and Saitan should arrive today and since I am off tomorrow I will give that a go... Yay!

I am so not motivated at work at the moment. I should really pull myself together, but the mood after a round of email from the bosses yesterday is just sooooooo bad.

DH really wound me up yesterday, when he gives breakfast to our lo in the morning it's usually weetabix with banana - he only uses half a banana and puts the other half in the fridge - so far so good, however, if he hasn't used the banana by the evening he chucks it in the bin. For the life of me, I can't understand why he can't give it to her later as a snack, eat it himself or leave it for me because I would eat it in the evening.

He also chucked the end of the bread out, which I never do since I cut it up, roast it for croutons for soups and salads....

    MEN!

Hope all of you have a fab day and you are save when you have snow.
