I accompany my DH abroad on work trips for pretty much the reasons youve described. Without it youd still be needing a hol just  youd be paying more.

Re the clothes, anything still with tags on and receipts you can return? If not, chalk it up to experience.

@Spendless I have cancelled an order on v!nted. The other one I actually need. I got so hot and sweaty at event as it was so hot, my ancient bras gave up on their elastic, so both of my work bras need replacing. Hence why I bought some more though I don’t need 4 even if they are from Vinted. I think I need to actually get my butt in gear and sell things.

Well another day today, last day of school! I really do struggle with my babies growing up and this marks the end of Mays first year in high school and Roos second, how can they be so grown up!

I have a meeting with new boss, we will see what he has to say, about me being overworked and underpaid. I think it will be more of a case of just be lucky you’ve held onto your job!

I’m working Saturday but happy I have Friday off! Going to go to the beach again.

I’ve just pushed the school again re looking at Mays learning, and they are going to get the SENs team to assess her at the start of next school year. So that’s something.

So meeting went ok. I went in prepared. A pay rise was mentioned but it was more of a we’ll see what we can do, as opposed to a definite. So watch this space…. My head is not in a good space today. I woke up from a dream and I look and feel super tired and I’m super hungry so had to buy a sandwich as my salad wasn’t going to cut it. Think I’m just sleep deprived.

There’s nothing like someone at work saying ‘oh I don’t know if the company even has enough money to cover wages this month’ and ‘I think they’ll be making yet more redundancies’ to make you go into a major panic!!!! Dropped the children off to their dads for 3 weeks this morning too. Not going to lie I am struggling a little today.

You're going to burn yourself out here with worry missy.

Concentrate on whats within your control. With kids at their Dads for  few weeks does that free you up some time to update your CV, start applying for other jobs etc? Is the colleague likely to be someone 'in the know' or prone to speculation? When is payday for you to actually know that youve been paid this month?

Good news re May - you can then chase in the Autumn term if needed. That one can go on the back burner for now.

Hope it comes to nothing and it's just someone who likes drama.
