Another Person Migrating From ESA IR To U/C Questions

I repaid mine in full via bank transfer following the instructions on the overpayment letter.

I've just checked my UC account and a new statement has been issued, this time for the correct amount. I got no message, text or email to advise me it had been revised. It might be worth you checking your UC statement tomorrow.
The amount of UC now deducted is £609.05. I wasn't sure if it would have been for a higher amount, due to benefit rate changes to ESA this month.

Thanks KxMx & Ned,
I'm going to do the same as you KxMx pay it back to them straight away via bank transfer it's not mine so I don't want it. I will then be able to see what I've got to spend.
It's come at a difficult time I moved home on the 12th of March & have had to pay for two rents for two weeks & removal people, it's triggered a final water bill, gas & electric bill, council tax wanted some from me even though I don't pay for any, the TV licence was due the food cupboards and fridge freezer are run down to move you name it I've had to pay for it you know what it's like & this payment & my PIP payment tomorrow were supposed to get my head back above water I "think" 🤞very grateful the gas & electric have gone down, I've got solar panels on the roof of this one (have had them in the last but one before) though I've got nothing to tell me how much electric is being generated & they are really dirty.
But I'm on a winner as there is no one constantly waking me up banging on the windows & doors throughout the night/early morning or plugging their ring doorbell chime into the socket of their spare bedroom which just so happened to be the other side of my kitchen wall & ringing their own doorbell at 2.30am in the morning so it rang through my entire home or smashing the internal doors off the door frames 163 times in 7 days. 3 years 10 months of not being allowed to sleep every night, or rest in the day, two home moves because they stalked me to the last one & smacked the doors and windows all night/early morning I hardly dare think they have stopped I don't trust it yet don't know if I ever will to be fair.
Anyway I'm rambling again! thanks so much everyone for all your continued help it means a lot.
Edit: Thanks so much @Robbie64 that's very helpful I will have a look tomorrow I hope they do the same with mine, perhaps there have been so many peoples ESA calculations wrong that they don't have time to write in the journal & they are sorting it out quicker

The regulations state it should be entirely at the old rate, so this is correct.
Same would be for deductions for Carer's Allowance.

I've just had a journal message saying they have amended my statement to include the correct ESA payment & what the payment will be & on which days as I get mine twice a month. I've just checked my statements & it's now been updated showing the wrong one & the correct one.
Very thankful they now seem to have a quicker way to correct this instead of the faff of paying it back.

Thanks for the feedback, and so pleased that you were able to get it sorted quickly.
They have a very small window of time to correct issues like this, between the time the statement is generated and the time the payment system releases the payment (generally on a 3 day BACS payment) during which there will inevitably be a weekend (non-banking day). If you are able to identify and report a mistake immediately, and the case manager is able to pick up your report quickly, they have a window of opportunity to correct the issue and prevent it from becoming an overpayment. If the issue isn't identified by the claimant and reported quickly, it is almost certainly going to result in an overpayment and then you go down the overpayment route with DWP debt management.
Anyway, as I said, really pleased that you managed to get it resolved quickly.

Good that you got it sorted @Starbright2 and also that you got a message in your Journal. As I posted, I got no notification in my Journal that my UC had been corrected. It's not the end of the world, but I would have liked things to have been done properly, plus a simple akcknowledgement of me reporting an error would have been appreciated. Had I not checked my payments I wouldn't have known anything had been done.

I received my UC payment this morning and despite informing UC in time and getting a revised statement (see above) I was paid the original, incorrect, amount of UC. You might have the same happen tomorrow.
I've sent a message via my Journal about being overpaid UC simply to keep things right.

That's annoying @Robbie64 especially as they corrected the statement, now you will have to go down the route of paying it back, such a waste of everyone's time & effort and something else hanging over you.
I will let you know if they pay me correctly or not

Hi @Robbie64 my U/C has gone in today at the correct amount. The message on my journal said they had amended the original statement & I will be paid £… on the 28th of April & £… on the 12th of May the message was from the Nottingham service centre
So sorry yours didn't
