Just watching Saturday Kitchen which is good although have to say I’m not sure about Alex Jones. I’m always in awe of how they pull off a complex dish in minutes although I know there is some trickery such as having one ready in the oven if it’s a pie for instance. I love Andi Oliver and she has very sound politics (if I’m allowed to mention that).
I missed knitting yesterday as the person coming to collect was an hour late. That was actually ok as I also had a terrible stomach ache. Meant to do some darning but in the end I just doomscrolled.
I want to clean my kitchen floor but might do that next weekend. Need to walk to collect my prescription and a book I bought, and do my studying in Star****s. That will be a £10 spend but you can’t put a price on knowledge. I have found a new branch close to the pharmacy so I’m going there today. Also have a date for a video call with a faraway friend at 11. Might be able to do kitchen floor before that.
Might find a YouTube video and do twenty minutes of yoga at 8. A live yoga class is out of the budget today.

Have also ruthlessly tidied my craft chair. Much more manageable.Credit card 2395

Have just been to the gym. It only cost £8.99 for a day pass, compared to £20 for one yoga class that is much better value.
Am going to go home and make tuna pasta bake for the week and the freezer. 3 hours to my chat with my friend at 11.
Might even vacuum. Not gonna wash the kitchen floor. Mañana.Credit card 2395

Am generally quite pleased with what I have achieved this weekend. I did an hour of studying and seemed to cover the material so I guess that’s ok. I looked, the last big course I studied I averaged 80% so hopefully I can do that again. That is my goal.
I got rid of two big “piles” of stuff out of my flat. I also took a taxi to the charity shop with a box of stuff including a load of work clothes. I gave them to Cancer Research as my dad had cancer. I usually take them to Oxfam but decided to go somewhere else for a change.
Now I am settling down with my visible mending book to look through it.
I hope everyone had a good and peaceful weekend and has a restful week ahead.Credit card 2395

Darned my cardigan last night which I am quite pleased about. Took about an hour, the mends are pretty invisible as the wool was the same colour as the cardigan.
Right. Time for brekkie, might make a slice of toast. Then make a pack up and have a wash. Trying for 5 no-spend days this week as I don’t have two pennies to rub together. I have sold some wool for £16 so that will help.
One good thing - last weekend I walked all the way over to a bike shop I know where they sell cheap and good lights. I walked in and said “guess what I need!” as I know the guy a bit. He said “shooting?”. It did make me laugh but I got some bike lights for £4.50. I hope he didn’t give them to me cheap. It’s that kind of shop where nothing has a piece on. Anyway now I actually have lights for my journey in the morning in the dark.
Have a great day people.Credit card 2395

Well done on the decluttering and great price for the bike lights."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Went to bed at 7.15 last night after reading for an hour because I was dropping off. Luckily managed to stay asleep until 4am, which I count as a just about acceptable time to wake up. Debating going to the gym but on balance I think no. One for the weekend.
It's only Tuesday. Have to go to the sorting office to pick up a parcel that never got delivered. They never left a card and I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t email the seller. Also see if the rest of my prescription is at Asda. Luckily I got another one issued and went to another pharmacy and got it there as Asda couldn’t get hold of it but I want to pick up the owing from Asda if they have it as I know the surgery keep an eye on how much I’m using vs what I’m supposed to use and I want to try and hit near enough 100%.Am still learning a lot at work. It’s quite a complex job and I’m still pretty tired at the end of the day. Made a few mistakes yesterday. I really hope I can pick it up a bit faster.
I have some leave booked for after Christmas. Going to see my mum for at least some of it. Can’t wait.Credit card 2395

You casually threw in a comment about getting a Siamese Cat. No one has asked you how you plan to support one. Remember the initial cost is only part of the cost - shots, flea meds, litter (rainy days even if usually goes outside), licenses, microchipping, vet visits, insurance, vacation catsitting or cattery, plus cat food (which will use up your coffee money very quickly) all add up. If you really do plan to get a cat, try one that needs rehoming rather than spending on a pedigreed cat of any breed. They will probably be just as loving as not more so. You may also need to consider a companion animal for the cat for when you can't be home.2
