Watched the first tutorial of my access last night. I couldn’t make the live session because they are all during working hours. It’s kind of pretty easy but like anything I think it is what you make it. Actually - I’m saying it’s pretty easy but despite having a degree I’m a bit flummoxed by the assessment questions. Mind you, I did a level 2 in advice and guidance which is equivalent to a GCSE a couple of years ago and they sent some of the assessments back to me to rewrite.
I received my wool and fibre parcel today. I’m not going to open it as I have just had my last two cigarettes and I don’t want it to smell smoky. I do want to see what it looks like though.
Right. Giant destash incoming.Credit card 2395

It’s looking a bit like nobody wants my old junk so I will sort out the good stuff, or maybe give it away bit by bit as I think people like to see what they are getting. Also a lot of people who collect from me don't have cars so it would be better to go little by little.

Seems like people do want my junk and I have significantly cleared out some of the stuff taking up space in my studio flat. They are collecting tonight and tomorrow. Mustn’t get all enthusiastic and start getting rid of loads of stuff. Slow and steady wins the race.
I had to make a bed on the sofa for a bit last night as my mind was turning a few things over and I had to move my knitting stuff to the chair. It’s so disorganised and I have so many projects stacked up to start. In my weakened state I saw that as just another sign that I can’t cope.
I start my blanket course in a few weeks. I have loads and loads of what they call DK minis so I’m going to supplement the basic wool with hand dyed. I hope it works. I have an idea in my head of how it’s going to be.
Nobody has bitten on my destash. I might just shove it all back behind the living room door which hides a multitude.Credit card 2395

Well well. Another weekend, another 5am start. Am just lying here with a faint Dominoes hangover as I got pizza last night.
Have coffee round a friend’s house at 9, coffee at 11 (will buy out) and knitting group at 3. Must remember to get decaf or I won’t sleep tonight.
I can hear the start of the dawn chorus, such as that is even a thing with light pollution nowadays. Looking forward to payday and another £150 pay off.Credit card 2395

This is my fleece. It’s for spinning really but I don’t have a spinning wheel or even a drop spindle. They take the sheep’s wool and “card” it (comb it out) after washing it I think. Then they dye it. It’s quite beautiful. Sorry the photo is not in natural light.
Off to browse drop spindles! The ultimate in apocalyptic skills.

Have spent an hour watching people dressed up as dancing bears at 70th birthday parties in Russia on the ‘gram! I shed a few tears every time the music starts. My friend got me into this meme.
