A bit more done on the decorating front over the weekend - the ceiling has had its first coat of paint but will have to wait for the second one until next weekend when DS is free. In the meantime, I'll get on with undercoating the woodwork. Once he's finished the ceiling we can crack on with the walls; if he can't fit that in around his work pattern I can manage by myself. I'm in no rush and have decided this OAT will be the main one for May. Any others are minor non-urgent things for when I have time.Be kind to others and to yourself too.4

It is sunny, but breezy so I took the opportunity to wash and change my bed covers.
My husband wants to get some built-in storage for his vinyl, stereo and decks so he is going to see if Sharps can give us a quote. I said it might be cheaper to see if a local carpenter can give us a quote instead.
I don't have my usual class this week as it was cancelled. I do have my first therapy appointment tomorrow and I will drop back my library book as it is nearby.5 -
Read some build related documents that have been sitting in my inbox all week. I am being as on it as I can with build stuff but there's nothing quite as unappealing as a pile of encoded PDFs written in legalese

Followed the bin folk out today and threw some cheapo disinfectant in the two black wheelie bins we share with 8 other apartments. I knew they were getting pretty manky but was shocked by the maggot infestation which accounts for all the flies. Just don’t know where to go from here as I’m not prepared to negotiate with neighbours to split the cost of professional cleansing. I may have to bite the bullet and simply pay for a one off clean myself?Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Wires are up for the clematis, and I've also planted a couple of roses donated by a neighbour last year.
I'm part of the way through the mowing but have had to stop and wait for a battery to charge. The dog seems to think we should go for a walk. I think we should have a rest...5 -
@Sallyforth try bleach instead of disinfectant, it's what I use to when I lived in the flat and that was a communial bin.
My on going OAT is the e-mails, I need to still do some this weekend, but I have been through the fridge and altered the meal plan to use up stuff.£71.93/ £180.004 -
Blankets all washed and aired, and stuff for the weekend washed too.
Replied to an email about an appointment, and cancelled something I was meant to be doing next week.
Also used up a roll of puff pastry I had in the fridge that as about to go off - does that count as an OAT? It was more tasty than annoying 😂6 -
Today's OATs were, taking 7 boxes out of the loft sorting the contents, we decided to get rid of 6.75 boxes worth! I also did a little bit of work on moving photos from one Google account to another.
Much more work needed in both areas but it is good to have made a start.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I still haven't fed the camellias (it's FREEZING outside) but I have chosen paint colours for the three rooms being done this week. It's a short week, so they won't all be finished - however he can nip back and do bits when he has a short day/cancellation elsewhere.4

Finished the last bit of work training that had kept on being shunted to the bottom of the daily to-do lists4
