A clever salesman sold me a CCTV system which as usual is costing twice as much as I anticipated but they seem a genuine company with a quality product. They’re fitting two cameras next week so that’s a big tick and I’m putting it on an interest free purchase CC so at least my savings can continue to make some interest for the next year (Stoozing).

Planted up another terracotta pot so only two left to tackle now. However I seem to have run out of plants again so another little trip to the nursery may be on the cards.

I absolutely cannot wait to hear the findings of your cctv @Sallyforth. Great job getting it sorted, and if you paid more for trusting the company and product then that's the right decision.

Followed the bin folk out today and threw some cheapo disinfectant in the two black wheelie bins we share with 8 other apartments. I knew they were getting pretty manky but was shocked by the maggot infestation which accounts for all the flies. Just don’t know where to go from here as I’m not prepared to negotiate with neighbours to split the cost of professional cleansing. I may have to bite the bullet and simply pay for a one off clean myself?
We have a local small firm called Scrubbish that comes along behind the bin lorry once a month and thoroughly washes the black (or any colour, I guess) wheely bins. They use a special van that looks like a cross between a pick up truck and a jet washer. They charge £6 per bin each time for this and I think it's worth it to avoid both the stinky, maggoty situation and having to clean it myself. Maybe worth looking to see if anyone entrepreneurial is offering similar in your area.
We started having a bin cleaner but he used to leave it with water in the bottom, and I got fed up having to turn it upside down to leave it to dry.

Finally got through to the garage and booked the car for brakes and MOT next week. Been trying to ring since last week - some days they didn't answer the phone, some days I just forgot, so glad it's booked in (and in advance of the MOT date too!)

Needed to take a mental break from all the build stuff so put the OAT of taking coins I inherited into the specialists, and made over three grand. This has been my favourite OAT ever. Very grateful to deceased family friend and his living partner who gave them to me
    Oh this is wonderful 😊❤️👏
