I have realised that I am ashamed of my home. So today I spent some time starting a structured plan (full on excel spreadsheet) of how to tackle it. It’s a mixture of largely decluttering and some cleaning. I am going to try to find a few minutes a day to deal with one small step, whatever it is, and use my now free Friday afternoons to get into some of the bigger tasks …

Your home should be somewhere you enjoy KK, so well done on realising that you need to do something about it. Even with all the work going on here I try to keep my bedroom clutter-free and (fairly) clean.
My visitor today made me realise that I wanted to have at least some of the house clean and clear (hard with three rooms being decorated, but at least any clutter was stuff from those rooms and not just general 'CBA to put it away'. And I'd removed at least the top couple of layers of dog hair. It feels so much nicer this evening sitting on the sofa without all the clutter - and I even sorted the cupboard with all my glass/plastic freezer boxes so I can get stuff in/out (I was trying to run down the freezer so the cupboard is quite full... I need to defrost one of the freezers, then the other, and then start batch cooking again.
I need to check my tyre pressures again tomorrow as I might have a slow puncture, and if I do I need to go and get it looked at.5 -
Loads of brilliant oatie tasks today but wow just WOW for @PennysIntoPounds amazing inheritance haul.This is my main pleasant OAT today - I shall refrain from posting a pic of my teeth after a deep hygienist clean tomorrow including numbing jabs - yuk!Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

I have made a small start: I have removed all the read magazines on the floor by my bed and put them into the recycling bin 😊

How nice to have a pleasant OAT @Sallyforth, love the bee print too
That is an excellent start @KajiKita. Tidiness always pleasing, and not injuring oneself by slipping on items when one gets up for a pee in the night even more so 😁6 -
Today I made good inroads into my digital photos storage project, I'm hoping to finish stage 1 - all photos in labeled folders/albums - by Friday bedtime.
I'm loving this thread and its predecessors, for the support and encouragement everyone brings, thank you.
@PennysIntoPounds congratulations on successfully dealing with the coin collection and what wonderful news that it has boosted your savings 🤗Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I'm feeling suitably recharged from my mini holiday so feeling like I can tackle a few OATs this week.
Big one is figuring out what a letter, threatening a 12k fine, is all about. It arrived a week ago but I had enough going on already.
That's my main task for today, although I have a list of other tasks on my phone if I tackle that one and have energy/time left.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

@PennysIntoPounds - That's a fab OAT to have done!
One more bite size chunk of the decorating done - all undercoating completed. Lots more chunks to do but slowly, slowly, I'll get there.Be kind to others and to yourself too.3 -
I appear to be queueing for the tip, while listening to training at work, instead of dealing with that letter 😂
Just a small load of annoying bits that have been hanging around for months though so if I make it to the front before my next meeting I'm still claiming it as an OAT.Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

No big OATs today but I made a point to read a few paragraphs of all the books I have on the go whilst doing a carpet walk so I'm calling that progress as it's too easy for them to linger for ages when another is preferred6
