Am still ignoring my maybe slow puncture, so will need to check the tyre pressure at some point and if it needs dealing with, do it on Monday.
I've messaged the builder with the details of the window that has a label in it (so they can find out prices for the same ones for when they block up the garage doors), and reminded him about the loft insulation/hatch that need doing (I want it done by October so I can get the decorator back and finish upstairs.
The anti-syphon valve has been a success in the greenhouse, so I just need to bail the excess water out of a couple of gravel trays and then re-calibrate the pump.
This weekend I MUST make progress on the rest of the water storage, as I need to fill it before we have a hosepipe ban! And the greenhouse blinds have arrived, so they can go up, and the shading fabric can be used elsewhere.3 -
I had an email the other day which suggested a hosepipe ban may be on the horizon soon. I don't use one but I can't remember how many years ago the last one was. I know I bought the water butt just after the last one & it was well before I retired, in fact I am sure almost 20 years.4

Loving the date @KajiKita and feeling terrified about hosepipe bans. I’ve spotted several honey bees on my tiny flowers today so feel I’m doing my “bit”.
Big OAT today - I received my first ever HMRC self assessment form and completed and submitted it by return online. It was so easy to do and to be honest and I guess the only reason they asked me to do it was because my savings interest was getting a bit close to the bone. The calculation has come out at nil to pay so fingers crossed that’s right.
Second OAT is I’ve completed my patio garden planting and it all looks good - even DH agrees but likes some variagated green geranium leaves over all the flowers! A shrub man I married!Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

I didn't go entirely mad sorting out build stuff today. Tick for me and everyone else who has got through the week still resembling a vaguely normal human being ✔️5

We got a quote from Sharps the other day for £5,000 for the media centre storage.
Needless to say I am not impressed. We did call to get a quote from a local builder, but then I said that we should check out the secondhand furniture places to see if we could find something. We found a white sideboard that should be able to store my husband's vinyl so that will be delivered early next week. Very MSE as only £200 for the sideboard and delivery.

Blimey @Wednesday2000 that's a bit of a price difference, well done.5

My trip to the tip was successful. I sorted out that fine threat letter. I painted more of my massive horrible garden wall. I also got my car fixed today. Three decent OATs yesterday and today.
OATs for the weekend are weeding and planting in the garden and finishing some uni work.
Anything else is a bonus.
Happy weekend!

Sitting down after getting up to date with the garden. Everything mulched. Bedding planted out. Dahlias planted. It's cleared plenty of greenhouse space for edibles.5

Finally potted the flowers I bought in the garden last week, and started on a bit of tidying out there. Determined to get it looking decent to sit out, now the weather is improving.Making the debt go down and savings go up
