My online signature is literally just a photograph of my written signature. Not suggesting that for your dad of course (and I don't know whether it'll work for the postal vote system), but just in case anyone else needs it as an idea xx
Cancelled a subscription yesterday that we'd set up for my father in law which he no longer needs. £30 a month not going out.6 -
My online signature for postal voting was a scan/photo of my signature, and that was only about a year ago so should work.
Plumber was here yesterday, so all the basin plugholes that had no plugs (pop-up wastes were so disgusting when i moved in that I threw them out in disgust, possibly a bit rashly!) now have flip wastes - I don't like pop-ups as they take a lot of cleaning and can jam, but there's nowhere to attach a conventional plug on any of the basins. And the shower that was hard to turn and the thermostat had gone on has been replaced (must test it this morning).
And I have refixed the kitchen corner cupboard to the wall, so can get on with refilling it later.4 -

The most difficult thing for me was signing a blank piece of paper so it looked like my signature 🤣 I used the back of a used envelope for my 'blank piece of paper' - insert revolving Martin head.
I agree those how don't use mobile phones are going to struggle, but a paper form was included with my letter telling me I needed to register.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

While avoiding doing other things I have emailed two plant nurseries about a dead tree and a mislabelled tree. And ordered some pots for the patio (hopefully I'll get a date for my gravel/compost/mulch deliveries soon too).3

Started a new ad hoc job, certainly an OAT in terms of needing money!6

Have filled dog kongs and lick mats. Need to get more peanut butter, bananas, and BNS so I can do the rest, and have stuff frozen for the next batch (he has one or the other every day after supper to keep him occupied - they also have yogurt and a cooked meat mixture which I feed to the cats as well).

I made a start on sorting out my clothes out, need to bag and store the now too big stuff, and see what does actually fit out of the previously too small bag. I have got my summer things out to wash so it is my fault if it rains for 40 days.
Need to book my car for a service and get someone to show me how to fit the trickle charger to the little car.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

There is a bed in the front garden, under the wall that almost runs the full length of the front garden, bar a couple of metres that Mr KK wouldn’t let me remove the grass for. He has now relented and I can extend the bed right to the end to meet the top of the drive. However, that section is pretty shaggy! This evening I had some time and the temperatures dropped a bit so I got outside with a big trug and pulled and cut it all down and then gave it a really good watering to start softening the ground before the weekend when I will clear the rubbish / lift the ‘turf’.The reason it is an OAT is because I bought a small white buddleia and a classic cistus to go in there … several weeks ago… over my Easter break … ahem … 😉

@redofromstart - I ironed my summer clothes today. Between you and me we have really raised the risk levels for the weather.
I've decided to wait to see if my dad gets a postal voting form by post 😉. It will be much easier to fill it in on paper. My dad is very alert and bright but at 97 he can't grasp some of the modern world. He would find it very difficult to understand why he was signing a blank piece of paper now in order to vote at a future election.2 -
