X-O (Jarvis) online platform to close in the summer

It was all online using adobe sign - as a PC user all I had to do was to type my name in the relevant box. No need to download or install anything.Nova1307 said:Section62 said:
Yes, the email came as a surprise... I went with the post-it-to-me option thinking they might also include a reply-paid envelope so it would save me the cost of a stamp. Turned out to be the faster and cheaper option.refluxer said:Thanks for the tips regarding IWeb's form options for transferring in from X-O as I would have instinctively gone for the print-at-home option to save time, if I hadn't been aware that the send-by-mail option actually allowed an electronic signature.
For anyone else looking to do this, the invitation to sign the online form came within 2 hours today and only took a minute or two to read through and sign.
Can the pdf file be signed using any basic PDF reader application? I recently downloaded PDF gear but can get the free Adobe reader if required.

I need some help to close my x-o account...it is now empty but can't see how to close it so that it doesn't transfer.
I don't need any trading account any more so want to tie it up.
Can someone point mi in the right direction please

Jarvis will close the account in due course. Have you received all the accrued dividends/income on the investments you held with them? i.e. investments that have gone ex-div but not yet made payment.sparkiemalarkie said:I need some help to close my x-o account...it is now empty but can't see how to close it so that it doesn't transfer.

Hi there. I had an empty X-O account just a few weeks ago. I just sent them an email and asked them to close the account, adding that I did NOT want it to transfer to the new provider. They replied very quickly saying that it was closed. It would be a good idea, before doing this, to download/print all the information that you might need for your records or future tax returns (eg contract notes, dividend and interest payment details etc).sparkiemalarkie said:I need some help to close my x-o account...it is now empty but can't see how to close it so that it doesn't transfer.

Has anyone received the 'Consolidated Tax Certificate and Income Schedules' document from X-O this year ?
This has been sent out at the end of April/early May in recent years but I haven't received one yet. Just wondering whether to request one before my migration away.0 -
Update - I received a reply to my email enquiry much quicker than expected. According to X-O customer service, these documents are taking longer to produce this year than normal and should be with us in the next few weeks.refluxer said:Has anyone received the 'Consolidated Tax Certificate and Income Schedules' document from X-O this year ?

As I've already requested a migration away, I thought I'd request one before my account is closed and they were able to generate one which I've now downloaded for my records.1 -
Funnily enough, just after I posted the reply I got an email from Lloyds asking for an e-signature on the transfer form.Section62 said:KTF said:Thanks for the IWeb recommendations. I have opened an account with them and will transfer over.
I will probably wait until the move to iii is complete as they do electronic transfers where Jarvis is a signature on a paper. Given there are no charges for iii for 6 months there is no rush to transfer but didnt know who was the best alternative to use.IWeb say they need a wet signature for Jarvis, but I selected 'post me the form' (or whatever it said) which then led to me being emailed an adobe document to sign electronically a few days later.AFAIK this electronically signed document has set the ball in motion. (discussed earlier in the thread)In effect you've got nothing to lose by starting the process now... if they do post you a form for wet signature (and there's no pre-paid reply envelope) then you could just ignore it if you want and wait for the move to ii.
Filled it in and returned it. Nothing to lose as you say.

Please can someone confirm if Jarvis are forwarding dividends monthly as a batch and if they've actually received any in their new account? I'm waiting for LBG with a payment date of 20th May.

You should be able to log onto your X-O account and view the cash transactions.miller said:Please can someone confirm if Jarvis are forwarding dividends monthly as a batch and if they've actually received any in their new account? I'm waiting for LBG with a payment date of 20th May.
Did you have any other stocks that you transferred when XD?

Jarvis havent transferred the dividends - my stocks transferred on the 2nd May. I have had to request payment to my nominated bank account of dividends that went ex-div before that date. If you want to keep them in the ISA wrapper then you will need to contact IWEB and ask them to request the transfer of the cash.miller said:Please can someone confirm if Jarvis are forwarding dividends monthly as a batch and if they've actually received any in their new account? I no longer have access to my cash account with Jarvis to see which dividends they have received..1
