Yes, as above, although they say a wet signature is required, I also got it a couple of days after initiating the transfer and could sign electronically.

I hold a small amount of shares with x-o and don't really want to pay the iii fee after the 6 month grace period.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how/where I can transfer them to?

    Second Anniversary First Post
Just received another e-mail from XO about my 'move' taking place around 5th July.
(Already notified them that I do not wish to move to Interactive Investor or have any
of my personal details to be sent to them, but it looks like automated mail).

I tried setting up an account with T212 (who seemed to want me to make home
movies on a phone for some reason, so I gave up), then XTB which was supposed
to be an S&S ISA but kept banging on about CFDs and ended up giving me what
appeared to be a small entrance exam for wall street asking about margin
calculations on forex deals(!) so I abandoned that one quickly.

Curious that nobody seems to have mentioned lightyear yet? They appear to be
a fairly straightforward exec only dealing site, £1 trading fee, no holding charges
and pay interest on cash held in the account (plus also have a cash ISA too).

Anyone had any experience of this company. It was a lot more straightforward
to set up than the others I tried and seems to handle electronic transfer easily.

Only just got this done a couple of days ago, so hoping Jarvis will respond soon
and not start mucking about arranging things with II (a somewhat ironic choice
as II took over the previous company I was using and started charging fees
so I rapidly transferred out to XO to get away from them).

I'm moving mine to IWeb, who are operated by Halifax Share Dealing Limited. There are no joining, monthly or inactivity fees and they charge a flat fee of £5 per trade for UK shares.

KTF - another vote in favour of a transfer to IWeb. Hopefully they do not increase there charges in the near future.
My ISA transfer from x-o to IWeb has been completed efficiently in a reasonable time frame. Obviously time will tell  how good a service they will provide.

I'd also be interested if anyone knows about lightyear. I'd never heard of it but may be worth looking into.

Thanks for the IWeb recommendations. I have opened an account with them and will transfer over.

I will probably wait until the move to iii is complete as they do electronic transfers where Jarvis is a signature on a paper. Given there are no charges for iii for 6 months there is no rush to transfer but didnt know who was the best alternative to use.

If Jarvis require a wet signature, isn't there a chance one would be needed for the transfer to II ? I guess others may be able to confirm.

IWeb say they need a wet signature for Jarvis, but I selected 'post me the form' (or whatever it said) which then led to me being emailed an adobe document to sign electronically a few days later.

AFAIK this electronically signed document has set the ball in motion. (discussed earlier in the thread)

In effect you've got nothing to lose by starting the process now... if they do post you a form for wet signature (and there's no pre-paid reply envelope) then you could just ignore it if you want and wait for the move to ii.

There is no wet signature requirement (although they say it). It's an electronic signature required, that comes through in a few days.
