I was behind a youngster who said her phone account gave her the balance each time she'd spent money.
Don't know the name but it seemed like a good idea to keep you on the straight and narrow.
    Perhaps they all do that?

Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest and Ulster Bank offer cash machine withdrawal without card you just get a code but you have to go to a NatWest Group machine.
Can also use Tesco ATMs says my app

...presumably a hangover from when RBS Group ran Tesco's banking - bit odd since it's now owned by Barclays.
Not really that surprising since the ATMs are still run by RBS/Natwest for Tesco Personal Finance.
Tesco retained the ATM network, travel money and insurance.

I wonder how many digits you need to type for the machine to start dishing out the cash?

I also love the round up feature that came with chase, never was enough to miss the money but cashed out over £200 from that at one point 👍
Lots of banks offer this feature named as Round Ups, Save the Change and Save the Pennies. The ones I know of are:

    Lloyds
    Bank of Scotland
    Halifax
    Royal Bank of Scotland
    NatWest
    Ulster Bank
    TSB

Maybe others also offer this too.

If you are really interested it's on this page:

    https://www.rbs.co.uk/banking-with-royal-bank-of-scotland/how-to/get-cash-using-the-app.html

If you are thinking of cracking it you will need a valid code and know how much that code is for.

To add to that, NatWest/RBS allow round-ups into the digital regular saver on top of the £155 max you can pay in normally (£150 deposit, £5 from the reward current account) meaning you can get to the 5k cap faster

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I really like the sound of that one

I’ve just been searching and I’ve seen some banks issue you a virtual card for online purchases for example. This also sounds like a great idea

Starling let you create virtual cards, and you can set them to come from specific spaces (pots) which can be useful for budgeting.

Monzo and Starling have the best apps by far with notifications, pots, direct debts showing up before they are taken. Halifax have notifications but they are very poorly implemented and can take over an hour to show up sometimes. Nationwide are hopelessly old fashioned and just have a rudimentary app which is way behind what anyone else offers.
But for usability the Nationwide app trounces the likes of Santander, HSBC and Barclays to name but three.

Not from what I've seen, when my daughter wanted to set up a new payee on her Nationwide app she had to go and find the ridiculous card reader they still use.

My main bank is NW and I always say I have have no problems with them and would recommend to anyone but that reliance on the card reader has to go! (I actually have 3 now, 1 for work, 1 for home and 1 for my bag because of course I never had it on me when I needed it)
