ParkingMad said:If you are not allowed in the car park when the KFC is closed, why don't Instavolt switch off the EV chargers out of hours, so they can't be used?
I asked InstaVolt Customer Services this question, and here is their reply-

Smad79 said:I have received a PCN from this same place. I’m not from Birmingham and just googled the nearest place to charge my EV for a 200 mile trip back home and left my car to charge to find a place to eat. I was away for 3 hours so that my car would be charged fully and since I have a Blue badge (which was displayed) it takes me longer to get back to my vehicle.
I have now received the court claim letter from the CNBC a couple of days ago. Any advice?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all. I have now received the legal action threat letter after successfully changing the correspondence address to my own. Please could you advise on next steps?0

Instavolt isn't telling the truth, of course it is possible to remotely disable chargers, but then charging your vehicle isn't parking, it is refuelling and EVs should not be issued a charge because they were never parked.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

Indeed, if every electricity smart meter in the country can be individually remotely turned off by the supplier, I am sure that these chargers can be in fact there are companies like RMS services that provide the monitoring service to the industry.2 -
Just to be sure, this is the template you are referring to:
Dear Sirs,
Your ref: [insert reference number]
Proposed legal proceedings
Claimant: [insert name of parking company]
I refer to your letter of claim.
I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
[Insert correct address here]
You should revert to your client because the 'propensity to pay' score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether 'fronted' by your firm or not). Move on to weaker victims.
The alleged 'debt' is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
Yours faithfully,
The operator is Civil Enforcement. They have also sent some templates for responding to, but have read I shouldn't use this at all. In the letter it says their template should be used and returned to them. It doesn't say how though...
Obviously I'm not going to use their template and I will use the above subject to this being confirmed, but should I print this out and post it or contact them for an email address?0 -
Use the template response and email it to them
The email address has been published on here previously, if its not on their website

I asked InstaVolt Customer Services this question, and here is their reply-I'd reply back and ask them:
1. Is it possible to alter the screens on a timer to simply say, for example, "NO CHARGING ALLOWED BETWEEN 10PM AND 6AM"?
2. Is it possible to prevent the charger from operating on a timer, even though they have a constant power supply?
3. Do you lease the land from the landowner, or do you own the land outright?
4. Do you hold any contract at all with the parking company?3 -
