fisherjim said:Why would you pay them? The appeals system is a sham to make it resemble an authority parking ticket. There are now 5 pages of discussion on this stating how these scammers have trapped you and POPLA is just an extension of the BPA smoke and mirrors appeal sham. They have actually confirmed that there was no contract to park offered at the time you were there, this has been pointed out to you a number of times on here.According to POPLA you never evidenced the lack of signage with dated photos, even though there were numerous posted on here, and POPLA as usual went with their paymasters.
I followed the advice on this group to the letter. I have no experience with any of this so was very cautious about what I did. Without this group I wouldn't have had any knowledge to appeal at all, I would have tried to argue it on morals which I don't believe would have sufficed.
Do you know what happens next in this scenario?2 -
Debt collectors letters, ignore them, powerless, of no consequence, post 4 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements
Eventually you may receive a formal Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice to reply, follow the advice given in the newbies sticky thread, second post, again in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad
This may be followed by an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL to you as the defendant, again we will help you through the process
A judge may accept your morals over greedy parking companies offering nothing of value, but its more likely that the Claimant will discontinue before any court hearing5 -

So just for clarity, I need to wait now for them to issue a further letter or something of the sort?0 -
No
Read what I said again
The only important 2 letters are the last 2, not the rest , ignore the rest
A Letter of Claim ( formal legal letter )
A court claim letter from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL ( a legal pack, delivered by royal mail post )

Sadly that is very true about Citizens Advice.
They are terrible (unusable, unfit for purpose) on the subject of private parking charges and associated debt demands and court claim defences. They've no idea.
Obviously, losing at POPLA isn't a 'final update' and you certainly don't pay! It is normal to lose at POPLA. It doesn't matter. Did you miss all the laughable 'POPLA lost' threads?
Did you add the decision to the bespoke 'POPLA Decisions' thread at the top of the forum yet, and added ten paragraphs breaks to break up the horrific wall of text (don't just copy it from POPLA as is)?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have received a PCN from this same place. I’m not from Birmingham and just googled the nearest place to charge my EV for a 200 mile trip back home and left my car to charge to find a place to eat. I was away for 3 hours so that my car would be charged fully and since I have a Blue badge (which was displayed) it takes me longer to get back to my vehicle. I have now received the court claim letter from the CNBC a couple of days ago. Any advice?0
