Thanks @Skint_yet_Again @beanielou and @MovingForwards

My back is settling and not worsening. So, I am relieved to have 'got away' with it this time...
The breakage of the day is a lovely 1950s wine glass. One of those with swirly gold around the rim. Humph!
I had a YS salmon fillet with buckwheat pasta YS pesto and a lovely rocket (from organic veg-box) salad. I made a huge batch of soup early in the morning. Yesterday I really wanted chips so I made some in the air fryer. All I can say is they are not 'proper' chips and I will buy the real thing tomorrow
Two days ago I wrote: 'The advertisement window is short so, planning on getting it done by the end of Thursday.'
And today I did it! The job application is in. Now it is out of my control. There is another application to do. The deadline is next Friday so I intend to look at it that one next week and again, get it done a few days before the deadline. It feels so much better than leaving it until the very last minute!
Oh, and a new cookery book came in. Ok, it didn't walk in did it? No, I bought it...In fact 2 in as a friend bought me a cookery book and posted it to me...My one was an Elizabeth David Mediterranean cook book...£5 and it is a hardback Folio! I know, but there are worse crimes...I'm easing up on myself....
I hope you have had a good day

Glad the back is settling. Keep up the resting as much as possible though, no point jarring it when it's doing well recovering
Humph indeed to the wine glass!

Thanks @jwil and @beanielou

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I agree the book is lovely and not feeling guilty....so far...
Back ok so far...
I have stock in the slow cooker. I am enjoying soup even more than usual and it tastes so much better with homemade stock.
I am going to a yoga class today I used to go to before, but after one class my back twinged, so I stopped. I am going back as it may have been it was just too early on in the recovery. The recent back pain reminded me there is still work to be done on my back and one yoga class a week is not enough.
I watered the plants and added a plant a friend gave me. May not seem like much but I've been promising to do both for days.
A new enquiry for the creative doodah! I still need to work out the months I want people and the months I don't.
I messaged a friend for advice on attaching photos to the PDF so I can send out to potentials...
I have warm curtains that will only work for one room as they are not very wide. So, they will go up today. I am looking at thermal liners that attach to existing curtains. I will have a browse around the CSs today to see if I can find a curtain for the front door. I will also look for furniture as there are still items I need
Off to make some breakfast
Have a good day

What are you doing to manage so many breakages? Are they in a precarious position?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Thanks @Sun_Addict I think the breakages are more in this house as the surfaces are hard...marble and ceramic in the kitchen. I also need a large, effective drainer. Things fall off it and break...You have made me think so buying a new draining board is now on my list of Things to Do...
Sorry @beanielou that you fell and broke a favourite pasta bowl
The things I said I would do, didn't get done. Yesterday was a low mood day. They always coincide with a poor eating day. I actually ate chocolate and some raisins rather than cook something! I forced myself out on a walk today and that has improved things mood wise.
I found a few foodie things I have been wanting, but now I can get them locally. Pleased.
I have worked out that all exercise classes need to be in the mornings. I talk myself out of afternoon classes. The curtains I said would put up are not up...hmmm....

Sometimes one needs a downtime day, that's okay.
Great news on the local foodie bits.
Definitely invest in a suitable draining board!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
