The 'friend' sounds slightly unhinged to me. Very odd behaviour.

I'd like to fit in yoga every day too. I'm currently doing a 1 week yoga challenge on YT - Sarah Beth Yoga. Yoga with Kassandra has 30 day challenges as does Yoga with Adriene. 

I hope the family issue can be resolved without troubling you too much either mentally or financially.

Your former friend knows exactly what she is doing. I cannot remember what you said about her but I am seeing narcissistic behaviour in that she doesn't like not being important in your life. It is what my son would refer to as 'wannabe main character energy'. As always you must protect your peace, though it's irritating that having created a boundary you have to reinforce it so soon.

Agree with everything that has been said about “your friend”, also about your family issues. Up until recently I used to rush in and try and help with situations as I didn’t like to see people upset. Then finally realised that either people would stand back knowing I would put myself out whilst they sat and watched me do all the running around. Also I wasn’t doing stuff for myself as I was spending time making sure they were all ok. Now I stay back, mute my phone, learnt to say NO and am much happier. Keep doing what u are doing and let others sought out any problems that have arisen.xx

Peppers, organic carrots, Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, a cucumber, new potatoes, red onions...yep the Mr L veggie box is back. I need the uphill walk very early in the morning, it sets me up for the day. I made sure I was early so I was at the front of the queue, and I could get in and out without the scrum. I did my stretches whilst I waited! I also bought a free range chicken, that is in the slow cook with carrots, potatoes. The veggie box really helps keep my food bills down, so back I go...

Handyman here today. A lock change. I had a quote for a lock change £200. Bought lock and handy man fitted it. Price? £60 He is good and has availability at the moment so I will get done what I can while I can

MSE terrible! Tiny savings getting tinier. There are 2 job possibilities, one of which a friend already works there so texted her for a chat. What is clear is I need more income. Both jobs are 21 hours and one is entirely from home. Will definitely apply this time. Something has to change. I don't regret for a second my decision to do this move, but I do need more income than I have to live on until state pension age

Family situation less worrying. I have been better than I used to be. I have not acted against my own best interests. I will be helping a family member financially (but only a little bit)

Friend situation? Standing firm!

I have tea this afternoon at a friend's house. They are a couple and one of the couple is suddenly unwell. It will be nice to catch up with them.

Enjoy your tea with friends . Fingers crossed on the job prospects . I do 18 hours over 2 days , keeps me ticking along.

Years ago I was like you, decided I needed a second job to bring in more income. I took a 6 week pt job at Mr T just for over Xmas whilst I decided what I would really like to do. 15 years later I retired from Mr T. Will admit I actually enjoyed the job hence staying there for so long. Does help if you can find a job you enjoy. Good luck with finding another job.

Thanks @amber03 I hope I am as lucky with a P/T job as you were.

I spoke to my friend about the job. They need to recruit quickly. It is only for a year, but friend feels it will turn into a permanent post. The advertisement window is short so, planning on getting it done by the end of Thursday. House/dog sitting tomorrow so will do the majority of it whilst there. Jobs come up there every now and then so good if I get through to the interview, as I have not had any interviews for...a few years! If I don't get it I will try again because I have decided I need a job!

Tea with friends was nice. In marksies they had their dark 70+ Swiss chocolate on offer. I had a few bars so took a bar with me for my friends MSE
