Hope the new medical thing goes well.
Loving the thought of you taking twilight walks on the beach as autumn and winter roll in, wrapped in your vintage cape.
Glad you're feeling less worried about family palaver.
Looking forward to hearing about your productive list and new season financial reset 🍻

Thanks @beanielou and @Seasidegal58 no coffees out today

Up early and prepped loads of veggies that were turned into...
veggie stock
delicious soup
coconut chickpea veggie curry
a cauliflower steak is marinating for later in the week
veggies chopped ready for roasted veggies in the week.
I had a catchup with BF this morning.
Then I had yoga and then my sewing class. I shortened my curtains and they now fit the window and look fabulous. The cape I bought now has a new top button that I like more. A good day
No coffees today. I bought some nuts, dates, coconut milk and chocolate covered nuts in the refill shop and some posh water (it has fizz and my treat as not doing wine!) still managed to spend ten pounds...
Friend who over asks and gave me a sinking feeling every time my phone pinged stated she would not contact me again. I've been fine with that but today she put a note through my door saying she stopped by for a hug as she missed me as does the dog! Hmmm, still thinking about it...
Not been in touch with the family all weekend. The situation has not changed but at least I have had a good weekend. I hope you have too

Coming to your home and putting something through your letterbox, that aims to do triple emotional guilt-tripping, is very much the opposite of not contacting you.
It is fine and normal to feel a little sorry for her and your former relationship with her, but you know where your boundaries are, and she has massively overstepped them and is still doing so. Just ignore, I know it's hard though.
Well done on your healthy efforts but you know you could have got a bottle of wine and a pile of chocolate for £10 right 😂

I think @PennysIntoPounds has hit the nail right on the head there re. the debilitating friend. 👍
You've certainly been busy with the household chores. I bet your curtains look nice! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Love the Christmas gift to yourself and the cape.
The great thing about friends is being able to pick them, unlike blood relatives. Just mute / block her and move on, the friendship ran it's course. Guilt, what ifs etc pass, the sense of relief and freedom unburdens your body and soul.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

With the curtains...I only did one will do the other next time, but so pleased with it!
Thanks @beanlielou and @MovingForwards I am holding my boundaries on this one. I won't block her in case she genuinely needs help in the future. I won't be responding to the note at all. If she turns up in the future, I will explain she said she would not contact me in the future, so ask why she is here.
Up late this morning and worrying in bed. Family situation in one sense has improved but there is still a big elephant in the room that has not been properly addressed...I haven't jumped, in but I am making little movements quietly in the background...
Different nice friends want to meet for tea this week. I will bake a cake and have them over. That will be nice.
Another friend has asked me to dog sit this week as her dog sitters are ill. I have agreed to do one day, hopefully she can get someone else for the other day she needs help. She has NFxs, so quite looking forward to watching a film or two.
I am feeling thankful for my friends here. My family/friends were worried about me moving to a completely new place, saying it is hard to make friends in middle-aged/old age. I haven't found that to be true for me here...
I have the handyman here first thing tomorrow, so I need to get what he will need today.
This morning, I broke a bowl...
Yoga was lovely yesterday and the day after I always feel a bit more movement in my body. I am going to find some sort of daily yoga practice. I keep saying it...now I need to do it...
Off for a walk now. Will log in later and read diaries
Welcome to the week
