The sea.... gazes into the distance dreamily.... Glad you have that.
Flowers too can give you such a lift.
I agree on the mess/clutter situation - that mess is a reflection of and often harmful to MH. Now if only I could translate that belief into consistent action. Your furniture wins are good too. I'm so glad for your sake you are debt free again.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Dia, dining tables are a magnet for stuff. The only solution is the tried and tested " don't put it down, put it away". Having said that it didn't work for me haha2

So, a few days without posting. I had a trip to the big smoke. A lovely theatre trip. A great catch-up with family. I came back on a bit of a high.
The new house guests are here and they are really nice. They are treating my home with respect and are appreciative. They arrived with excellent coffee, chocolate and a keyring all made in their country. They are very proud of their region of their country, and I like that. They have asked for mozzarella cheese at breakfast and eggs. I have said I won't be doing a cooked breakfast daily. I compromised at cheese with their toast although looking at mozzarella in M it was expensive. I can see they have it much cheaper in Aldi so will buy the next lot there. They are not having orange juice and very little milk (only in coffee) so I'm ok with it. They requested chicken soup today, so that is what we are having.
I had to walk new guests into their workplace to show them the way. On the way back I popped into M. They had 21 day aged sirloin steaks that were 8.75 for £2. They had lots. I bought 5 packs. Also prime beef burgers usually £5 for 4 were £1.25 so I bought 4 packs. Really pleased. I will do steak and chips on the last night for a treat goodbye meal.
My latest painting was delivered today and is even better than I remembered
I bought 4 beautiful LSA glasses today. Large water glasses. They retail at £25 for 4 I paid £2 as they were 50p each
Veg box comes today, so looking forward to that
I confess to buying yet more books when away...4 of them...it seems to be an illness of mine and I keep thinking I am cured until it bounces backAnyway, having a read today...
I hope everyone ended their week well

Books bring endless joy and they can be passed on again if they ever stop doing so. There are many worse vices to have!
