Sorry mood is slipping, good for you for listing gratitudes. You are indeed loved, pain free is so many blessings, and enough money for nice food is an excellent state of affairs. And improved cosy lighting is chefs kiss.
You would have completed the list if it needed immediately doing so don't let that contribute to slippy mood. Some days drag and sometimes we need to be lazy, that is normal.
The bath and clean clothes did happen and if that's because you are smashing it being brave and mse with house guests then that really does not detract.
Do you think mean friend messaging you has contributed to mood dip?

Lazy days are often needed. Hope your mood improves xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I'm not really sure what prompted my mood nosedive. It may have been the trip to spend time with family. I missed them when I got back. What I do know, is I need to do the things that keep my mood up, rather than let my mood drop, then try to fix it. Early morning walks are something I know are good for my mood. I need to get a new pair of trainers
Thanks @jwil my mood is improving
Thanks @joeyjimbles I will keep trying to create my lovely life by the sea
Thanks @Sun_Addict yes I'm ok
I deleted an earlier post, as reading it back it sounded whingy and self pitying. In reality I have little to complain about, so I took a few days out to get my mood back to where I could function
Interestingly, I had to function as I have guests here, but everything felt exhausting so I took shortcuts everywhere! I washed the dishes, put the rack in the sink and threw a bowl of water over the. Rinsing done! I went to the sea to sit down without having a shower. Sometimes things have to be done, but they don't need to be done perfectly. Yesterday I pulled a chickpea curry out of the freezer. My guests loved it. So, I will do some more to freeze for a day I don't want to cook. Omelettes with roasted veggies tonight. Apparently, roasted veggies reheat very well in the air fryer, so that should be an easy one
I now have the desk I've been wanting since moving here. I also have the shelving for the bathroom, so it looks much less cluttered in there. Happy with both
I had a mini walk this morning to the PO. I've spent all week trying to get a small parcel and birthday card off to a friend. I ended up paying more in postage to get it there quicker...
I'm going to make a soup today for myself as I have lots of vegetables
Tomorrow I will go for a coffee on a roof terrace that opens rarely. Then there are fireworks tomorrow night and I love fireworks so those will be my treats tomorrow.
Hope everyone is ending the week well

Still not right, but pushing on. I am Doing it Anyway! I had a lovely salt bath last night. It really helped...
Going to restart high dose O3. It tastes foul so I will buy some oranges...
So, today my house guests were off on a trip. I had to be up early to do breakfast and packed lunches and see them off.
I finished a letter to a friend who lives abroad. That will go off today along with some locally made chocolate.
The soup I made for myself yesterday was lush. I find soup so helpful for low mood. What is that about? I made it in the IP in minutes and will have it today too.

Breakfast and lunches done for guests

Soup can definitely be comforting. For me, although I've been vegetarian for many years as an adult, I grew up in a meat eating household and soup made with ham bones featured a lot as it was cheap and there wasn't much money. Thick lentil soup, split pea soup and scots broth are all soups I still make and remind me of younger times. I'm more adventurous with soup and was just checking a recipe for lettuce soup to make today. Maybe you associate soup with times and people who cared for you?3

Also... well done with the growth of the EF 😎2

I’ve been reading but wasn’t able to log in for a while, but now I’m back in I wanted to say that I’ve found your diary really inspiring. Finding the small but good stuff to celebrate and look forward to is so helpful.3
