Ah, ok dia, I see. Maybe your idea of some elegant iron work is for the best then. A practical solution which could also enhance the look of the property. Cost is a consideration though, I get that2

Thanks @Tresinia511 I do love elegant iron work
I'm going to start getting some quotes. It can't hurt to know.
I looked at the wall again and there is a wall with a trellis on top. It is the trellis that needs replacing with rail work. It is about 3 foot high and under 6 feet wide so it isn't covering a huge area. There is a heavy wooden gate that is secure so a gate railing could go on top of the gate extending the current trellis area. So, it is less work than I initially thought. I am going to start arranging quotes this week.
I went out for a walk with a friend yesterday. I left at five and wasn't home until after ten. It was nice but it was too long and I was tired
This morning, I walked along the sea and up the hill to Mr L. I got lots of reduced chicken and some lamb kebabs. The freezer is now full. I have enough YS protein to cover about half the guests stay. The veg box experience is changing. A guy took two boxes even though others were waiting. People are queue jumping. The crowd is bigger. Yes, it is frugal, but It might be time for me to duck out. I have my organic veggies fortnightly. That will be enough....I don't want that sort of energy at the start of my day.
The box was not amazing but ok...12 apples, a cabbage a bag of potatoes,7 red peppers, a head of garlic. Cabbage is lovely in coconut curry and the peppers will be used for stuffed peppers so fine really
I plan to switch my morning routine to a beach walk, with my first coffee of day taken looking out to sea
BIG FROG EATEN I have just cleared the rubbish dumped. As is usual with me it wasn't as bad as I was imagining. I still feel unsettled about how close strangers are getting to my house
To Do- A wash on and out to dry
- Strip beds
- Clean both bedrooms and prepare for guests
- Clean and organise kitchen and living space
- Call organisation about changing information (income generating frog) (A failure that took 90 minutes faffing on the TP website and them not picking up!!!! Back on the list tomorrow)
- Clean front windows and prepare garden pots for new things
- Clean upstairs bathroom and bedroom
- Calling a relative
I really enjoyed a chicken and veggie soup yesterday so I am making it again today.
I hope your week has started positively

@doingitanyway I like your meal plan idea - going to copy and adapt for me, I need to come up with more ideas for frugal meals. Having looked up thrifytlesley, reminded me a million years ago I used to follow the Cheap Family Recipes pages as the lady who started that was on one of the pregnancy threads on the families forum here that I was on (under a different username!).

Love the idea of having the first coffee of the day by the sea. What a lovely start and nicer than being in a box scrum.
Well done on clearing the rubbish and taking steps towards the gates."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
The emergency fund is standing on the shoulders of a giant @doingitanyway! The giant is the debt you've cleared; congratulations and love Humdinger xx2

Thanks @Humdinger1 for the positive vibes
Thanks @jwil I definitely prefer starting my day down by the sea. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. The lidlies box has had its day
So, I did some more of my list. The bedrooms are ready for the guests. My bedroom is half messy. My bathroom is half done. Sink area is clean and bath is clean...that makes it much better btw...
The kitchen is clean and organised! I used to think the kitchen being a complete mess was due to low mood but it might be the other way around...the mess sends a signal to my brain...'we haven't got life under control look around you'... So, I'm going to try and keep the kitchen sparkling and the bath gleaming...sod the rest (not really)
I bought a desk and a piece of furniture for the bathroom. I have been going to this secondhand furniture shop since I moved here and I am happy to leave with nothing until I what I want comes up at the price I need. Today the desk came up. So pleased. Both items will be delivered next week
I sorted the plant pots at the front of the houseI swept and cleaned. I did not do the windows...
I took some food out of the freezer for the new guests who arrive in a few days.
My dining table has turned into a dumping ground again. Will clear it in a bit...
I bought some flowers to cheer myself up. I used a local florist who does British flowers. I bought very little and they cost 4.70 and look lovely
My mood is on its way up. I am forcing it up
I feel better debt free, less panicked somehow...
Gratitudes...
British flowers
Painfree joints
The sea
I hope your day has been a good one
