Fantastic news about the ef dia, but also excellent to see a planned and organised weekend, so calming!2

Great news about the increasing EF. Soup is always my go to when I'm not feeling great."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Can't beat a good soup - filling and warming - my OH does a lovely lentil and bacon, but we also quite like a mulligatawny / curried type soup
its entirely fine to juggle your routine to do what you want in whatever order you want - you are after all queen of your own householdI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine3 -
Thanks @teapot2 @mark55man and @jwil Its true soup reigns! agree it probably does go back to childhood. Being nurtured when off sick and only able to manage soup...the inner glow it gives on a cold day
Thanks @afdaff for the positive vibes
Haha @rachmac3 yes, I got that word from a young friend from Leeds
Thanks @Tresinia511 my calm planned weekend bit the dust...but pleased about the EF
So, yesterday's plans bit the dust. I didn't have the energy...again! I had lots of lovely catch up calls in my PJs until the afternoon. I managed a local walk. Cooked for the guests using a tomato sauce I used for a pasta dish then used again for a butter bean stew with chorizo. I'm feeling much more relaxed about the cooking...
I made millet, almond and raisin cookies that came out well...but I've eaten too many of them...I need to shop for fruit soon, might stop me craving sweeter things...it is hot today so that might have to wait until tomorrow.
Washing on. Guests bedding day, luckily the weather is hot so they will dry quickly.
I'm using the dishwasher more because I'm feeling overwhelmed whenever I step into the kitchen. These guests generate a lot of dishes! The kitchen is small and is currently cluttered. I am going to concentrate on getting things out of the kitchen so there is more space!
I was going to go into town but it is too hot! I want a present for a friend, but I have a few things here and some cards so will make up a parcel, and go to the PO today to send it off.
To do today- declutter kitchen
- clean bathroom mirrors and sinks
- washing and hanging out clothes
- send off a gift to a friend/PO trip
- fill a bag with unnecessary stuff and top off at CS
- iron 2 items
- soup (in this weather? yes actually)
- cook for guests
- read an essay
- 15 minutes of creative work
- 1 hours work on PDF
- email re accepting a new guest
- phone to book a shoulder/neck massage

Being busy with creating while mixed with chores sounds hard work dia🫢though you may have a different take, it might be your relaxation! I am the least creative person in the world, even my doodles are rubbish😄. But tell us, does ther strike through on the back/neck massage mean you did book or decided against, I couldn't work it out lol1

Thanks @Tresinia511 mixing chores with creating isn't relaxing, but a day of chores feels like a waste of a day!
And a strikethrough means done
The guests are back and eating. Just the dishes, then my work here is done!
I managed to deliver my parcels for my two friends at the PO. I quite literally took all day as I couldn't find a key part of the gift for hours. That is the thing about a messy house, it causes stress because I can't find what I want when I want...To send a very small parcel relatively locally cost £5...
I plan to put the dishwasher on. Clean the kitchen. Then go to bed early as I have been dragging myself through the day.
Edited to say I just broke 2 lovely cupsI now plan to buy some nice cups to use for guests that are not my absolute favourites

I eat soup all year round. It’s a great way to use up vegetables and get some goodness into you at low cost both in money and calories. My go to when I was poorly as a child was H£inz vegetable soup. Also dandelion and burdock to drink.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
