Writing in the art gallery...a Chinese artist...

On the face of it mundane, then when you think about it...it is so profoundIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Today will be a NSD. I don't have enough of these...
A friend gave me a book. A huge book, although the reviews are great, so I will plough on...Amor Towles, The Lincoln Highway...finishing a memoir first...I seem to be back into reading. Good, for lots of reasons, not least, as it is very MSE.
I got a £15 credit from the veg box company. Thanks to a lovely poster on here
A low energy day again. What's nice is being able to slob about and go slowly in my own home, making countless cups of tea. I could never do that in other people's homes. I am also feeling thankful that I don't have to commute in rush hour or log on to do a job I don't want to do. So, a meh day, but feeling very thankful all the same.
Planning to achieve the following low level tasks:- a bath with face mask
- eyebrow attention
- turkey burgers, wild garlic and feta burgers
- a life admin phone call
- a walk to see the sea

I agree that sounds like a lovely day!
I'm learning French. I've done a certain amount before, but had forgotten most of it. I always had a dream of being multilingual so it's my first step towards that. Once I get to the end of the French course I will start another language - probably Italian, Spanish or German. I have GCSE Italian so that might be a good start, but I'll decide when the time comes. I'm now trying to consolidate as well as continue my learning, so get a French Reader's Digest magazine and some books from Borrowbox and trying to watch and listen more in French as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I’ve been learning Spanish with DL for 5 years and still haven’t got to the end of the course and I practice every day 🤣 However it has been useful on holiday although a lot of it I doubt I’ll ever talk about in a month of Sundays - for instance the rights of indigenous women 🤔🤣 I’m thinking about going to proper classes when I retire. There’s a great podcast called Coffee Break Spanish that you might find useful as it’s based on normal conversation.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thanks @Skint_yet_Again despite the brief list of things to do, I did not complete them...will carry it over to tomorrow.
Thanks @jwil that is great that you are learning French and will go on to do other languages. I like the idea of getting books and magazines in the language of choice.
Thanks @Sun_Addict I am taking the daily practice option too. I looked at Coffee Break Spanish and I will add that to my learning too. There isn't a Spanish class here but I would like to join one too.

I got my 3 life admin calls out of the way early in the morning.
Tallied finances, should be ok.
I need a gas safety check for the hosting. It is £80, so that will have to wait until the end of next week...
I had a walk along the seafront, picked up some shopping, so took the bus back.
Decluttered a heavy lamp that I never really liked to the cs. Turned a depressing nightgown into cleaning cloths
Washing and drying
Kept on top of the kitchen
It is warm out, but I still made (not very good this time) soup...
My back keeps spasming, so I did not go to yoga. It might have helped but I couldn't risk it. I spent an hour trying to find an osteopath. I did not find one I liked the sound of. I am going to ask around.
I did my DL. After a week they are wanting quite complicated sentences from me!! My brain is tired at night. I score much better in the morning...
I hope everyone has had a decent day with some sunshine. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hope your back improves. The sun might help - and failing that an electric throw for heat or a tens machine for triggering endorphins.
