Thanks @in_need_of_direction I had never heard of a water filled pillow. Now I have!
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I am not great at selling stuff but I still have a few tiny bits of gold...odd earrings etc so will try with that
Thanks @Debsnewbudget a good idea, I will do that. I have slept in the room already but will do so again with guests in mind
So...My mattress is not good for me due to my issues, but is fine in reality. So, the mattresses will be swapped. I will then have the new orthopaedic one purchased for my mum's visit. I asked a friend to help me change them over and she is coming on Wednesday to do it.
I have changed what I want to achieve financially this year. This has changed my outlook. I feel less under pressure and calmer. I wanted a wood burner this year, as this winter was so hard for me. Realistically, I won't be able to afford it until next year. What I will be able to do is have a 1k emergency fund and no debt by the start of the Autumn. I will have the funds to winter-proof myself and home instead
The lodgers arrive in June, either early or late, depending on whether two possibles materialise.
Next week I will buy the remaining items.
Today I booked a home safety appt with the FB as I'm not sure I understand the various wired in and not wired in alarm systems. I have a chirping (a battery is low somewhere) but can't isolate the specific alarm causing the issue.
I am seeking routines and today will work on both. I recall working on this a few years back and reading without a plan we all default to a routine anyway but it may not be the one that best serves us. When I walk early my days flow better so that needs to be part of it.
Loads of stuff cluttering upstairs to move into the loft area. Doing this slowly.
To share, in case it helps anyone...if you are concerned about bone strength, look up research on prunes and bone strength. It surprised me, but I will be adding them to my diet.
I hope everyone is having a good start to the week

Thanks @Skint_yet_Again the FB were helpful when I called, so hoping they can sort the alarms out
Thanks @Sunshine_girl2 I bought my prunes in marksies. They are tasty, so eating them daily will be easy
Thanks @Tresinia511 it feels like the best course of action
Well today I walked before I did anything else (not that it was that early as I woke late) I am getting fatter by the day, so as well as a walk first thing, I am restarting intermittent fasting. Feeling energised and settled today.
I bought the single mattress today. It will come on Thursday. The rest of the stuff will cost about £180.
The other good news is, I have an additional bookings confirmed for a few weeks time.
I picked up some reduced price protein in Marksies today. The plan is to fill the freezer with half price protein to help keep the food bills down.
There is a gym session for over 55s for £4. I've been meaning to check that out, so will pop in as I think I need to book an induction first. It starts at 11 and could be part of the routine I am trying to carve out. The good thing about my short term lodgers is they are out all day so I am free to get out during the day.
Very sunny today. I hope you have some sunshine too. Like a good night's sleep, it makes all the difference

Great news about the bookings."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

So, today I was up early and out. The walk to Mr L is up a hill. I see the sea too, so a good start to the day. I bought a plant and my F&V box, plus 6 organic apples that are £2 and seriously good. The F&V box is actually very fruit heavy. There were huge avocados that were a bit squishy but I cut them open and they are good. I will make guacamole as I have a lemon in the box too.
I am decluttering books. I only found 4 to go yesterday...will search the books in the loft today...
Large tray of strawberries
Bag Jersey new potatoes
Large red pepper
Green pepper
Bag of cherry tomatoes
1 pear, 4 apples, cooking apple
3 avocados
1 tray of apricots
2 jacket potatoes
1 lemon
1 packet of extra fine green beans
A really good box, great condition.
Today I'm going to have fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, make a tomato soup with the cherry tomatoes and then chicken burgers and salad with guacamole.
There is still junk in the small room and the mattress comes tomorrow so a final push to get the room 'mattress ready' today
Have a good day everyone.

Today, I had a small thought that keeps growing...rather than looking for huge bookshelves, could I get rid of some of my books...then I could buy fewer, or smaller, bookshelves...No rush, but will keep mulling this over...
