Thanks @beanielou and @Sunshine_girl2
I knocked on some more doors and now I have 8/12 agreement to gate the alley. Everyone very enthusiastic!
I had the meeting with our local councillor. He wasn't the one I wanted, but he was holding the surgery. He said 'you are stuck with me' I told him:- there was a safety issue for all properties.
- some of the houses were occupied by older lone females and there was an additional safety concern for them.
- there was fly tipping so it was an environmental and health and safety issue, as that was a invitation to vermin.
- there had been drug dealing using the alley in the past.
- the fly tipping was under the bedroom window of a child. The window had be shut in the summer or flies came into his bedroom
If I get agreement from all properties, I will draft a letter next week and get signatures from all involved.
I am pleased with what I have done so far. If it doesn't proceed, at least I have met some more people in my community.
He warned me it would have to go through committees, so it was a long process. Then he said 'we better get started'
I have an Alexander Technique workshop this afternoon. Other than that, I haven't had a paper for a few weeks so might buy one
Enjoy your day everyone

Thank you @Tresinia511 That is a big advert! Funnily enough, I have actually used this and it is lovely. I got it in a subscription beauty box a while back.
Thank you @beanielou @SuzeQStan and @savingholmes
After being fast out of the blocks this morning, I slowed down. There is a market today so I browsed around that. I've spent the rest of the day looking for a receipt so I can return an item I don't need...but it is well and truly lost. I am going to have a day next week of getting rid of old paperwork (again) Arrgh
Next week I will buy one of those concertina filing boxes to sort new paperwork.
Off to read other people's diaries
