Living Large, on a Small Income, by the Sea.

Thanks @Skint_yet_Again for the link
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds it was so nice at the beach today. Everyone seemed so chilled. You are right...I need to get used to saying no, and others need to get used to hearing it...
Thanks @satchmo1 I feel I have arrived battered and bruised, but I am here all the same...we are both lucky to have easy access to the sea. A walk on the beach is such a treatIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Ooh, Dia, a soul and body warming bath. I think we forget what an absolute joy a bubbly bath is for de-knotting our bones and muscles. Too easy to jump in the shower which doesn't start to compete in the de- knotting department! I also find spending just that little extra on the premium oils makes it an affordable luxury compared to good old Radox. My favourite is anything with a sandalwood base. Add fresh sheets and a guaranteed good night's sleep is yours!

Thank you @Tresinia511 funnily enough I am on the hunt for some premium bath oil. If you or anyone else has any good recommendations please send them my way! A bath is indeed an affordable luxury
I have already completed my money generating action of the day. Thanks to @Skint_yet_Again I applied for a low income tariff for my water and was accepted.
This morning I am going to walk into town for a walk and to do some life admin. The weather is sunny and I can hear seagulls as my patio doors are open. I will also shop for some veggies as roasted veggies in the air fryer with tahini sauce and crumbled feta on quinoa is my current favourite air fryer delight!
Back later to catch up on diaries and report back on my day!
Have a good day all.

Yes, @MayDogsandCoffee I do get your reticence. But, loving mine I have to say...
I agree @Tresinia511 @Skint_yet_Again is an inspiration!
A good day today. My joints feel good and loose and not sore. I enjoyed walking along the seafront. My mood is better and I am less tired. I think I am through caffeine withdrawal and maybe the change of weather helps too...
I gave myself a manicure. My hands look SO much better.
I battled with some wine on a good offer, but I am trying to drink less, so I left it. Also it saved me money as it was cheaper, but still a pricey wine to start with...I've started to buy nice things on offer and put them away, or freeze them for another time. I used to do this, but I am out of the habit of running my own household.
I did a tally of finances...hmmm...Not where I want to be, obviously...but I will review when my imminent cc statement arrives. The plan is to pay it off in full again if I can, or in two parts if that is not possible. But, I think I am making good decisions with my money, and in a few months I will be on a better footing. The new thing I will be adding are 3 NSDs a week. From next week Tuesday-Thursday will be NSDs...
I signed up for two short courses at a cost of zero! Because of my income level I did not have to pay. Each course is a term. Each course will be about wellbeing and future planning. I need both!
My big action was knocking on a stranger's door about blocking off the alley. The house owner is very enthusiastic, so I have 4 agreements in principle and 8 to go...so a third of the way through!
I bought a huge F&M hamper basket (a few weeks back) that I'm going to wash and leave outside to dry. I'm not sure where I want to use it yet, but I know it will be useful.
Off to clean the basket...

Sounds like great progress DIA.
Bath oils, I love the Tisserand ones - they sometimes turn up in TKMaximum but my favourite is REN Rose. Expensive options so I would be interested if anyone has any more economical suggestions? My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Great progress on the alley gates and the holding a boundary against people who want to borrow your hard earned cash. Someone once compared the latter to seagulls coming to take what belongs to you - and I found the analogy helpful.
I so wish I'd moved somewhere beautiful years ago - life is always a trade off of decisions, wants and practicalities. You'll get there. Don't beat yourself up over what is a small debt. You've moved mountains to get to where you are now.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
