You are very welcome dia.  I remember  clearly,  the post you wrote towards the end of your last diary, saying,: " I move in next week.  After 3 years of homelessness, it's over." It was this comment that made me so happy for you,  after living in temporary accommodation myself some years back,  it really struck a chord about how important it is to have a home to call our own and how vital it is to our mental and physical wellbeing.  How lucky we are and how hard for those who are still waiting.  So for now, let that peace of mind settle and grow.
BY the way, do you still have the spare bin? We grow potatoes in ours in our tiny garden.  A great crop can be had in the summer if you plant now,  just put an existing couple of spare spuds in the dark and leave for a week or two till it they sprout. Fill the bin with potting compost, pop in the sprouts spuds, keep watered and by summer there is a bumper crop of potatoes waiting to be eaten.

Thank you! I think if you have been in temporary accommodation, or been homeless for whatever reason, you never forget it @Tresinia511  On the plus side I have such an appreciation of my home, and so much empathy for those who do not have a home...
I do still have the spare bin. A friend came to visit and convinced me to keep it. If I can get the compost in I will try potatoes!!  :)

Thanks @twopenny I enjoyed reading about the choices you had and the path you chose.  I would have chosen the National Park by the sea too  :)

    Today was a NSD.

I stuck to healthy food. My air fryer was in use. I made a mushroom pancake with chickpea flour. I put it in the air fryer and it came out crispy and delicious. I had decaf coffee again, so caffeine free...

    I chased a pp company
    I chased/emailed a another pp

    One wash load dried outside

I had a slow day today as I felt very tired. I think it is caffeine withdrawal...

Nice long chat with a younger relative

Enjoy your bath dia and your meet up with your friend 😊

I saw this in the weekly MSE email and thought it was worth passing on in case you may qualify as low income. Lots of water companies seem to offer social tariffs for water but different qualifying conditions for each one

Another relative asking for your money?!
Well done on saying no and then staying firm. The attempted guilt-trip just shows you were right to say no.
They'll all just have to get used to managing their own finances like everyone else has to!

That sounds like a glorious day lined up, enjoy 😊

I love that you have stayed strong throughout your enforced wanderings and have been rewarded with your house by the sea!

I'm just back from a very windblown/sandblasting walk on the beach. It's a vast beach, and there were two horses cantering along. We're so blessed to live within a mile of it, and on a clear day can see Blackpool tower (it was too hazy today). One's cares seem to blow away, even on a calm day.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
