I have added up how much I spend on coffee a year and it’s fairly eye watering. I’ve tried to cut down before without success. Maybe Friday and Saturday only could work. I already have nice coffee at home so it’s not like I’m particularly going without .0 bonus saver

It’s finally the Easter holidays and four days off. Just watching BBC news and drinking a coffee. Going to do my housework in a minute. I have a few errands to run that I’m going to do today. Tomorrow I have my knitting group and on Sunday me and a friend are taking a trip out to a nearby farm where they have a some shops and a cafe. I might buy a fabric cutting wheel for my new rag rugging hobby. Monday I’ll maybe just go for a walk and do some crafting.0 bonus saver

Might sit down this weekend and put a couple of months spending into a spreadsheet so I can see what I’m spending in what category.0 bonus saver

Up early and relaxing. I wanted to do some pickling today but there doesn’t seem to be much in season so maybe not. I’ve got my knitting group this afternoon and I’m going to take some of my rag rugging to do.As it’s a Saturday I’ll get a coffee when the cafe next door opens at 9. I’m just watching a film on Netflix and going to do the washing up until then.0 bonus saver

Just relaxing, last day of the break. It’s supposed to rain but I’m planning either a swim or to walk (perhaps with an umbrella) over the other side of town to get some of this Dubai chocolate which I’ve been wanting to try.
I’m knitting a cardigan for a family baby which is due but I’m waiting for another ball of wool to be sent so I’ve hit a bit of a wall.
I’m going to make a big pasta bake today and freeze what I don’t eat today and tomorrow. Then I’m eating out of the freezer until next Saturday when I go to the supermarket.0 bonus saver

Back to work yesterday, it went ok. Two weeks to my holiday. I’m going to stay with my mum for a week, it will be a lovely break and lovely to see her. Plus nice to have a week away from work, what with changing jobs it’s been a while since I had a whole week off.
I didn’t find out if I passed my probation yesterday as the meeting got rearranged to Thursday. I think I have passed anyway from various things I have picked up. My pension started being paid this month, I need to arrange AVCs if I can as my pension provision is not great in general.
I’m waiting for some wool to be delivered so that I can carry on knitting a baby cardigan that I’m making at the moment. My whole comfy chair is covered in crafting stuff, it’s lucky I rarely have people over! I have a sofa too which is where I usually sit.0 bonus saver

So - some good news. I passed probation with very positive comments. I do generally enjoy my job despite preferring the weekends and I’m pleased to stay there.
It’s Friday today. Looking forward to the weekend although I’ve got a quiet one planned. I want to start exercising again (I usually swim) but am lacking exercise and motivation.I’ve booked to start an Open University access module in Business and Law as I think it will be good for my career. Unfortunately I have to pay despite there being all kinds of reasons you can get it free, I tick none of the boxes. I have put the fee on a credit card and going to get a 0% balance transfer to pay it off over a longer period. It’ll be good to do some study again.0 bonus saver

I’ve had a good morning. Went out, got the bus (£6 because I bought a day ticket which I ended up not needing because I changed my plans, annoying), collected my niece’s birthday present (I owe my mum £25 for my share), bought some Dubai chocolate as I wanted to try it (£6.99), didn’t really like it so that was a bit of a waste of money, bought three bars of the nice handmade soap I like (£9.45), bought a coffee (£4.70 which I could hardly believe and it certainly wasn’t anywhere near as good as I could have made at home), went to Asda. Did a weeks shop, got everything apart from aubergines which they didn’t have any of. (£11.22 and £2 for a lottery ticket). I was very pleased with my spending, apart from the aubergines I shouldn’t need to get anything else this week.
Now I’m taking a break in between doing my chores. Am going out to the garden centre with my friend this afternoon to feed the fish with her son. That won’t cost be anything, I might buy a plant but otherwise maybe only something small. Tomorrow I’m going to chill and knit.0 bonus saver

Spent £16 on a plant and pot at the garden centre which was unnecessary spending. Also £7 on chips for me and my friend as she drove. So I’m kind of annoyed about the spending on the plant but it was an absolutely lovely afternoon and I had an amazing time. I get paid on Tuesday and going to try not to spend anything until then.
The baby cardigan I am knitting is coming along really well and I’m really enjoying it. Debating yoga or a walk today but I’m watching the London marathon. If only this contributed to my own fitness!0 bonus saver
