Great result, what did you put in the complaint and which email address did you send it to? Since there have been a few of these recently, your experience may help others.

Sure, no problem. I already shared this in this thread earlier. Essentially, I emailed St Helens court (civil.sthelens.countycourt@justice.gov.uk) with the following request on 13 April, and they responded on 1 May, so it took about two weeks.

I did a follow-up email to them on 12 May because I hadn't heard from them then (the letter from St Helens Court took nearly two weeks to arrive at my address).

Just to be clear, I haven't heard from anyone until I received the letter in the post.

Good day. This is just to confirm that as of 30 June, I have not heard anything else from the court or the claimant.

Just received another Claim Form dated 18 July, now from BW Legal. Different "parking charge" but from the same time around last year, in my own parking space. Completed AOS now.

Still haven't heard anything from the original claimant. What a ridiculous waste of court time. How they are still not prosecuted is beyond me.

I suspect the first claim isn't over.

The second claim needs a new thread.

    But we also need you!

If you want to be part of the push to change things in future, it's very important that people like you join us to reply to the new Public Consultation, to tell the Government NOW that:

    a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 *almost* promised. As long as it is independent (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court.

b).  THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY A THUG THIRD PARTY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND OFFERING A POINTLESS 'PAYMENT PLAN' THAT MERELY INCREASES THE COST AND STOPS PEOPLE ENGAGING

c). Tell them about your experience and that your case proceeded to a claim precisely because (a) and (b) above mean there is no option, no safeguard for consumers EXCEPT court. And it took a year!

Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it in August pleeease! We will discuss it all in more detail in the coming weeks on that thread so do come back in a fortnight.
