    Hiya all.

Are we doing this by month?

    If so

Fr 1st August - usual sandwiches and fruit etc

Mon 4th August - Tuna salad, crisps and 2 bananas (one for breakfast!)
Tues - will be the same - I make up lunches in batches of 2 especially on a Sunday when I have more time!

I usually post up everyday with what I've eaten/spent but I only work 4 days :D and count it from 1st of the month.

    Hi,

Welcome to the lunch loggers :D I've been amazed at how much I used to spend on my lunches before finding this thread.

So far for Aug it's been NSL's as I've brought bits in from home. Today I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel :D

Shame about your soup Naomi...at least it send you running to the shops like my quiche disaster did last month!

Spent £6.53 on Saturday buying bread, juice and a stock of tuna tins. There 12 tins so with a little effort in making lunch some of the days I should be covered for lunches this month though I will need juice and bread for breakfasts. I would have put the tuna on the grocery budget as it came with our Asda delivery but with prices going up, I don't have much wiggle room on the grocery budget - especially since I'll have guests for 5 days this month.

Oh I also had to buy a jar of decaf coffee because the doc has told me not to drink the real stuff anf work doesn't stock decaf. :( They have filter coffee and regular instant but no decaf. Oh well, I only drink one cup a day so the jar ought to last 2 months at least.

    My month so far:
1st Aug - Tuna with mayo and sweetcorn on toast
4th Aug - Leftover Chinese takeaway
5th Aug - Working from home
6th Aug - Tuna with tomato sauce and herbs on toast

    Good luck to everyone!

Silence on the lunch logger front? Where are you all?!!

Had a successful week - high spend but most of that will last me for the rest of the month so worth it. Yesterday and today I have homemade pasta with me - OH kindly made a big batch of it for my lunches and it might just cover me for next week as well. Plus, I resisted the nuts at the station (though sadly not the free doughnuts at work).

Well done Mouche on resisting the nuts.. donuts are ok, they're free!:rotfl:

I have had no spend on lunches this week. After the minging soup, I brought in salmon & cream cheese and a pack of bagels, total cost about £2.80 but it was on my grocery challenge and not counted as a lunch log spend :D It might be a bit boring for some eating the same thing everyday, but I also bring in fruit and yoghurts so get to have something different too

Will see when I go to Mr.T's tomorrow what I'll get for the week. I have to get my cereal for my breakfasts or I might get a loaf as I have some peanut butter at work.

    Hi all,

I just found this thread and really enjoyed ploughing through it.

I sort of had a great month in July - I used all my Boots Advantage points (4732 in total) to buy Meal Deals. At the moment, every sixth meal is a free one! Admittedly, I was sort of spending but the points had been on the card for ages and I was strapped for cash in July.

Altogether, I think I spent £2.55 cash on lunches in July - YIPPEE!!!!:T
