Hi All,
I hope y'all had lovely weekends and didn't melt?
I spent 0.99p today on my loaf of bread for the week and that's it for my lunches for July so I am declaring at £15.04 for July.

Well...it hasn't been a good month for me lunch log wise but I have spent less than I would have without the lunch log so I guess every little helps. I would like to declare for July at £46.90 and throw my hat in for the August challenge.
Well done Naomi!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

HIya all; I have't posted on here for a while but am pleased to report that since my returrn from holiday on the 8th July I have brought in lunch every day. Albeit I had two days with buttered breadcakes and a packet of out of date Salt and vinegar crisps (which I hate!) but no fruit etc.
Todaya dn tomorrow is left over chicken in a sald, orange juice, a banana and a snack size time out to stop me hunting for more expensive chocolate!0 -

Welcome back! Just in time for August :j
Good idea about the snack size chocs. If I had them at home though they'd all be gone in a nano-secondI do buy far less chocolate now than I used to. I used to have a bar a day but I rarely do now, not noticed any weight loss though

Welcome back Peb. I have been avoiding chocolate and ice cream as part of my weight loss efforts. If I start I just can’t stop scoffing them so I’ve gone cold turkey except for an occasional bit of my husband’s diabetic chocolate (he has to hide it from me!).
I was feeling a little sad about having declared at £46 odd – it seemed awfully high. But then I remembered that £20 of it was for the lunch out when my colleague left – that won’t happen regularly and though £26 is still on the high side – it’s not that bad. J
Also am feeling pleased with myself today because I forgot to bring in my lunch but thanks to some advance planning, I have an emergency tin of Weightwatchers tuna and a cup a soup in my desk drawer. Plus bread in the fridge. So NSD today too. JMortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

First thing that popped into my head when reading the title of this thread.
Did anyone watch the Channel 4 Dispatches programme on the sandwich industry last night?
scary stuff!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
All this talk of lunch and sandwiches makes me hungry
Im a bit of a latecomer to this MSE forum board.
Could really use a "Give up chinese & take-away curries (and take-away in general) support group" - at about £14 a pop for me and Mrs Doomcow, at least 3 or 4 nights a week (not really many by my choice), it fair mounts up...Mr & Mrs Doomcow Wedding Fund: £10200/£18000 (by 04/2012) (spent £2000)

Hi :hello:
It makes me hungry too which is why I tend to read it as I'm eating! :rotfl:
I could do with joining the give up take-aways board too although me and Mr.M have drastically cut down on what we used to have. I now try to make it all myself but it never tastes the same  He's a lazy boy anyway, if I'm out for the night it's takeaway pizza for him
Anyway waddled OT there! lol
Hope everyone else is doing ok this week?

Afternoon all,
Did we all have a good weekend? Get our weekly shop and lunches in?
I made chicken soup yesterday and was planning to have it for two lunches this week. However I've just had a bowl and it was yuk  I don't think I can face having it againFirst time I've made it so it obviously needs some tweaking :rotfl:
It's been a NSL for me today as I brought in the the minging soup and yoghurts and fruit from home also some bagels, salmon (cheap trimmings from Mr.T's) and cream cheese so I think I'm more or less sorted for the week. :T
