I'm up to nsd #14 today. Should get another one tomorrow taking me to 15. I’m happy with that. This thread definitely makes me question my spending and stops me spending frivolously.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #828 -
Hello everyone, I've been absent for a few days, as I have been quite busy at the weekend, was tired, had a little moment of overwhelm on Monday, and in all this time I was very anxious because of a looming restructuring at my company. I kind of figured it would be by the end of March, and today was the day. Lots of meetings were done, but luckily nothing popped up on my calendar, and just before end of day, my manager confirmed that our team is not affected this time. Big big relief, but it was quite stressful until that time regardless.
So sorry for being a bit absent in March, I will be trying to post more regularly in April, however I will be at my mum's house from Easter to the end of the month, so it depends how busy we are with her move.
With all socialising of this month I'm actually behind in terms of NSD's, I've only done 12 so far, and I had ambitiously aimed for 20!!
Today I am grateful for still having a job at the end of the day, OH's patience and support, my colleague who makes me laugh, and chocolate.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Such a relief for you @laura_lau!
Hope you feel better soon @grandmanerd. Thanks for offering to do next month's thread.
Been absent a few days again myself. SO much sewing, I did overdo it Monday night. Tuesday night I met my friend & we went swimming again (we beat our previous widths count by 6 🎉), followed by baking DS1's birthday cake. Last night we went out for a meal, followed by a film night. Great fun!
A NSD today, will need to check how many I've managed this month. A good day at work, pinned a lady into 3 pairs of jeans, then did some sewing after tea.
Grateful for DS having a great day yesterday, & saying he'd wait to open his presents until everyone was home, chats with my teacher, finishing another book & starting a new one, determination to start streamlining the contents of our houseUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Grateful for getting DH to the train station on time ( before 7am 😇) and only having to scrape a little bit of ice off the windscreen first.
Some proper good clearing and sorting without him being here. Even sorted some photos.
Getting out and seeing what plants have survived the winter neglect and what needs to be moved.
Folding of all laundry. The bathroom had run out of towels. Towels replenished.
Charity shop dresses tried on, all fit, all look good.
Bought DS3 a suit off v1nted for £10 and a corset belt for me for £2. Not planned, but means I don't need to buy anything else now except a pair of work boots and a couple of pairs of knickers. I am set for Spring/ Summer / Autumn, and probably Winter.
Feeling prepared ( famous last words?)4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Good Morning 🌞
Seems I got kidnapped by those pesky aliens again 👽🛸🌍 and only just escaped! <Ahem!>
Had a very flat few weeks. Starting back at work wiped me out more than I expected and my mood has been quite low and questioning whether I did the right thing or not having my surgery and now living with the body image challenges and rejections. So, decided I just need to give myself some time and breathing space, and focus on trying to be positive for this next chapter.
I haven't gone crazy with money - though did lose track of my NSDs again. Budget done for April and looking good.
I've caught up on posts but by the time I get to the end of them I forget what happened to whom? Haha. I do now congratulations are in order for your new grandbaby, grandmanerd. There were some awesome photos of inflatable animals f0xh0les? i think... All good stuff.
Today I am grateful for:
1) A sunny day
2) Full food cupboards
3) A tidy flat
Today = NSD number who knows?!?!
Seeing the family today, so will catch up with you all tomorrow x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
