    (((hugs to taplady)))
Got to nip out again soon to the Post Office, I would have done it after work, but I forgot to take the stuff with me.

Ive got plenty of lamb left over from dinner yesterday, not sure if I fancy another cooked dinner, or just do a stir fry with it!

Work was busy! Glad to be home now!
There was talk at work about the smoking ban being up lifted, Ive not heard of this. Has anyone else!

    Catch you later

    Me again!

Well I've been to my parents, so much for getting any of the garden done - my little sister wanted to come back to mine with me when she heard I was baking so I have a helper to entertain instead. Oh well with all this cooking done I'm organised for the next couple of days so as long as the weather holds I can get out there tomorrow instead.
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

    Hello All,

    Hugs to Taplady.

First day back at work today and it wasn't too bad. DH is still at home, he goes back tomorrow and I'm going to miss the company. Although I do find it easier to get on with jobs when he's not around to distract me!

Egg & Chips sounds good, I think I will do that for myself for tomorrow's tea. Today I am using up leftovers from the freezer, some non-meat beef style strips (never had these before so no idea whether they're nice or not :D ) with rice and peppers etc.

I made a start at looking at our budget yesterday. I am trying to decide whether I should take on a full-time position ....decisions, decisions.

I need to look up a rice salad recipe as DH has asked me if I can make him packed lunches for work, much healthier and cheaper than the vending machine :j

I need to get on with jobs, chat later.

  • Hi again, managed to get the kids dressed and to the park after all. Unfortunately, they wanted to take a stunt kite that they got for christmas and i have less than no idea how to get one of those in the air let alone make it fly, had great fun trying tho. Came back and ds1 had vegemite sandwiches (his favourite) and ds2 had hm pizza both had lashings of hot chocolate milk to warm up after the freezing wind down the park. Both parked in front of tv now (peace finally for a little while). Should be sorting stuff out etc but can't pull myself away from this forum dagnammit! Off now for a mosy round the threads.

    Hello everyone :hello:

    Hugs to Taplady.
Sorry you chopped your finger Nels. Hope you've cleaned up the blood. ;)

I think I'm finally over my hangover. :o I got up late this morning but have been quite productive since. Beef in red wine with chestnuts is in the slow cooker and I've made salmon fishcakes for the freezer.
I'm appalled at how much money we spent on food in December so I've just done 3 weeks meal plans just using up stuff in the freezer and cupboards and should only need a few top ups from Lidl to see us through. :D

House is beginning to look tidy again as homes are being found for Christmas presents. Decs are still up until the 6th here too Penny. :D

    Hope everyone else is well.
