Morning all! <big hug> to taplady.
Well I braved the supermarket first thing this morning, almost nothing on the shelves  but managed to get a few veggies and some milk at least along with some bread flour so if it snows as threatened we won't starveManaged to get some half price Christmas wrapping paper too so that will be packed away when we take the decorations down, so that I can forget I've bought it at the end of the year
Got one load in the WM which will have to go in the drier I think, unfortunately, it's pretty cold and damp outside here. Also have a loaf of bread to slice and freeze (so nice having room in the freezer again!) before I'm off to the pub (:o ) for lunch with a friend whose birthday it is.
Have a great day everyone

Afternoon all ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one especially Taplady.
Well OH went to the Dr, he has given him a form for a chest xray,'just to check' but he doesn't really think there is anything wrong, also told him that the chest pain is muscular..............and the problem with his leg is arthritis...so hopefully he will now stop moaning and I might get a bit of peace until the next time he 'thinks' he has something wrong.
3 loads of washing, two done, third waiting to go in, dryer has a load of whites in.............glad to get it done, not much ironing this time, most can be folded and put away.
Time for lunch................ see y'all...............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
(((Taplady)))
Having a lazy morning as only one DD is home and she is snuggled up reading a large book of four stories that I got her for Chrismas.
DH came home early and hung out the washing for me then scoffed the remaining pea and ham soup for his lunch.
Going to have a long hot shower and get dressed then brave the cold to get stuff for a home made curry tonight to warm us all up.
Need to get a birthday pressie for DD's friend and look for nice suitcase or cases for DD to take to Oxford when she starts her new job.
See you later."This site is addictive!"

Hi again all. (((((hugs)))))) to taplady and yes cuddlymarm it is nice to get back to normal food. Well, kids and I didnt end up going into town. The park is still a possibility though. When I suggested getting dressed and going out they suddenly calmed down and decided they would prefer to stay in thier jammies and vegetate. Gave me the chance to sort out the recycling stuff (mountains of) ready for tomorrow and get roast chicken dinner for tonight prepared - even managed a little tidying up and washing is out on the line while its windy and dry. Now got to decide whether to get them dressed and out or let them veg??? decisions decisions! Personally would love to stay in and veg as when i went outside to sort out the recycling, the wind was bitterly cold. In the meantime, whilst deciding, I'll go and put the kettle on.Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun

Afternoon, as part of my New Year plan :rotfl: I hoisted myself out of bed and into the shower....I was then out of the house by 7.10....amazing.
I had to go and open up at work, but at least there was no-one stood on the doorstep waiting for me.
I called at Sainsbugs for some milk and bacon on the way home, so I must update my spending diary. I was hoping to see some bargains there, but 20p or 30p off doesn't count.
Next it was my weigh in at Slimming World, I've managed to a loose a chunk of what i had put on last week, so quite happy about that.
Having had a scan of the cupbords last night, I put to soak some kidney beans/chickpeas/butter beans....they are now boiling away on the hob, so I think that they are going to transform themselves into a bean chilli sort of thing.
Whilst thinking about beans and things......if I soak and boil some dried peas, can I freeze them once boiled?
Hugs to Taplady....I must book my appointment, i got the reminder letter before christmas.
Love to all including the poorly ones.

Hi again
Have cleaned out my store cupboard and done a couple of lots of washing! Going to the panto so have put together our own bags of sweets for the 7 of us goig and drinks for the kids so should save us several pennies!
Have started new thread for my out of date lentils and rice to see if anyone has some easy recipes so hopefully I will get round to doing the store cupboard challenge starting with the out of date things!
Still have another cupboard and the freezers to go through, then I will have a go at menu planning again and hopefully will get through some of the stuff I have in already without buying more!!0
