Morning everyone
Finally got round to taking the tree and decs down yesterday - feels so much better now!!! bah humbug as my DH calls me.
Rang the dentist at 8am so DD2 has toothache but they wont be back until tomorrow so she has an appointment at 9.25 so she will have to miss her first morning back at school. She has been suffering quite badly in the last couple of days so thank goodness she goes tomorrow.
Tea will be a stew made in the SC - nice and easy!!!
Got some ironing to do and loads of washing so had better get a move on!
Hope everyone has a good day

I must point out that I love Xmas but by the time I get to this point I'm heartily sick of sweets, rich food and rubbish on the TV. But its lovely to get back to a bit of routine
I'm really looking forward to normal food (egg and chips Yum) and having routine such as going to work and meal planning etc
This may sound very sad. Does anyone feel the same.
:j :j :j :j :j :j :j :jegg and chips sounds good to me.
We're off to the cinema in a mo to see The Golden Compass. Then it's a lunch of leftover salady, cheesey things from Christmas. I'm planning something beany for supper. Still got loads of alcohol around though :rolleyes:0 -
Taplady - well that must have been disappointing, poor ole you. :grouphug: My sister went through something similar many years ago. Fortunately she's been okay for about 10 years now.
DH is back at work today. DS1 will be joining him on Monday when he starts working with him. He's so excited he's been endlessly chantering on about how he can't wait to get back to work.
DS2 begins his school work again on Monday, too, so I'm going to spend the next few days getting the house ship shape again, making a list of all food in cupboards, freezer, fridge etc and start menu planning. Quite excited.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Morning Everyone
(((Hugs))) to Taplady
DD is still asleep, mad kitty is running up and down the hall again and I'm just having a brew. Hopefully DH is going to sort out his car so he can get it MOT'd but hes still lying in bed so not hopefull.
I'm going to get the house clean and tidy today will be taking some the decs down but the tree will stay up till 12th night. I'm also going to ebay some stuff particularly some of our baby equipement, this is a big deal for me but I have decided new year, new start. I'll be buying DD the next stage car seat with the proceeds she is really fed up of being in her 5 point harness and shes big enough for the next one now.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Taplady -sorry to hear about your abnormal  - your post has reminded me to book to get mine done I am on a regular one too after a couple of dodgy ones and they seem to come round so quick but it has to be done so thanks for the nudge.
Not a great start to my day - I sliced my finger good style on my razor in the shower:eek: I wasnt shaving my hands of course (:rotfl: not a werewolf honest) but I went to grab the soap and the razor was face up:eek: very sore and took half an hour to stop bleeding:o
Kinda back at work but not away till next week so just got lots of admin stuff to do. My main pc died a death just before christmas so I have been working off my lappy since so today it will be visiting the PC hospital where I really hope they can sort it.
This time of the year somehow gives me a boost to "sort" things and organise - the feeling doesnt last mind but I should make the most of it whilst its here I suppose:rotfl: My office is an absolute horror atm so lots to do there and then upstairs in the house is a major project (like old macdonald I use the upstairs rooms to hide stuff when I have visitors:D )
Need to nip to Costco as well today as they have some of the special deals on this week so thats a small fortune I know will disappear:o
Hope you all have a good day and enjoy the return of normality:D

Morning all,
Taplady - ((((((hugs))))))))
Our decs came down yesterday and we put them straight up in the loft as well as some other stuff that has been hanging around in our room (closest room to the loft hatch). The room looks twice as big:D. Got rid of the last nibbly bits last night, although we still have more choccies than Thorntons - but that's ok - they don't bother me. I agree - it is lovely to get back to normal.
Dh has gone back to work for an hour this morning - first time since he collapsed on the 16th Dec - but there are some exam scripts he needs to collect to mark. He's going back in tomorrow, we're off to England on Fri to see MIL  and then on Sunday the boys and I are flying back to Belfast and dh is flying to Norway for work. Ds2 is back tomorrow - ds1 has till Mon off - so ds2 will have to develop a bad cold for Fri when we go to England:D
Pasta in tomato sauce and meatballs tonight - leftover salmon and salad for lunch (pate, cheese and bread for everyone else). I have decided this is the year I lose the weight, so went back to WW before Christmas and joined the Lose Weight thread on I Wanna - I just can't do it myself OS much as I would like to. But there will still be no ready meals etc - I have all the WW cookbooks and will be cooking from scratch just the same from them - and the house is going to be kept more under control  and the washing mountain!
Have a good day everyone.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Morning all!
I must'nt've slept well at all last night as I'm shattered!
Have started on the mock papers, aimed at 10 papers a day, will be happy if I could do them faster, but no such luck at the moment! But if I aim at that target then they won't seem such a chore... here's hoping!
My hands are freezing cold so need to warm those up before I have my bath (have Reynaulds), then it's 'on toast' lunch with OH, a nap, and then this afternoon I'll be doing some painting in the hallway.
Watching my friend get married online was much cheaper than going to Vegas itself, it was a lovely ceremony and she looked sooo lovely.
Hugs for those who need.want, esp taplady
Have a good day.
