    Good evening everyone :hello:

    Big ((((hugs)))) to taplady

scuzz - I sympathise with your lurgy. My SIL was ill with it over Christmas, FIL came down with it on Boxing Day - we then went to see my parents where my dad was feeling very sorry for himself. To make matters worse, I came down with it last Friday and it hit its peak on Monday, when we were hosting NYE!

I go back to work next Monday and DH has got the rest of this week off work as he's spent most of the rest of the Christmas period working, so he's having to put up with me blowing my nose every minute. We popped into town this afternoon to do some sales shopping. I couldn't find a thing, and I have alot of John Lewis vouchers burning a hole in my handbag (courtesy of Pigsback :D). DH needs a new suit for work and we couldn't find one - either at (an affordable) full price or sale price that would fit, or the trousers fitted but the jacket didn't. You get the idea of our frustration.

I need to sort out a meal planner for the next few weeks, but I'll brave looking in the freezer tomorrow. Our freezer is in the garage and I have to go OUTSIDE to get to it. Not fun at this time of night. :o (ok, so I'm finding an excuse not to go there)

    Have a great 2008 everyone.

    Hello all,

Was at work today, came home and finished off cottage pie that we didnt have Monday, so had that for tea. OH very kindly took the tree down for me today, so we can tidy the living room now :j. Have taken lasagne out of the freezer for tomorrow night, as am working again tomorrow.

My lakeland order has been despatched!!!! So, hopefully my new dish drainer should arrive soon.

Right, just off to persue the threads a bit more.

Hope you all have a good day

    Hello everybody!

    Welcome to the newbies

Special hugs to Taplady, Odds and Sods and Nelski...as well as anyone else not feeling the best.

Nothing exciting going on here, DS1, DDIL1 and DGD2 off back to Holland early morning so hoping that the forecasts for UK are a little off...its a long drive from Holyhead to Dover in any weather!

Trying to do some decluttering every day and get rid of the laundry mountain, we seem to have used dozens of towels and bedlinen over the holiday.

Didn't go to sleep until after 4am as I was finishing the Kite Runner...really enjoyed it but not this morning when I wanted to get up.

    Sleep well all

    Hi again
just thought i`d pop back in.:D

We didn`t find a lidl today but did find an Aldi, has a quick nosey round as we got lost and that hardly left us any time but now we know where it is we can go back again, it won`t be visited often as it`s not easy to get to from where we are but it`s an option.

Late lunch at mums was lovely but the soup we were to have later never got eaten and i`m sure it`s past it`s best now.
OH`s pal came over tonight and we ended up having a takeaway (it was his turn to pay so it didn`t upset the budget) i`m now stuffed and on the sofa with a baileys as he`s just gone home.
Hopefully i`ll get a couple of things done before i go to bed but i feel absolutely stuffed and completely immobile.
    Catch you all tomorrow.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
