Morning All
Happy New Year
I've been ill since the day after Boxing Day, so had to cancel plans to go out during the week and the New Year celebrations. Back at work today though. I'm still not right, but work must be done.
Starting new year's resolutions - losing weight, start 11st 2lbs:eek: and looking for a new job are the most important to me. Also I'm planning on not doing any work outside of my paid hours. I'm sick and tired of getting nothing back for my hard work - not even the time off promised. So tough, I'm not lifting a finger more than absolutely necessary.
Hoping on taking a trip to Florida with friends this year, so we need to get that booked. Also wanting to save more if possible as I should be moving into my new flat this year.
I feel totally tired as I didn't sleep last night and when I did I had nightmares.
Lunch today is sarnies from the christmas ham and dinner is salmon, chips and veg
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
morning all,
well, i have had a terrible nights sleep, worring about leaving my DD home alone for the first time, kept thinking someting awful was going to happen  , OH left at 7.15 for work, and was back by 7.45 :j :j he was supposed to be starting a new building job today, but the materials can't be delivered untill monday, so he has the rest of the week off :j . What a relief, which means I can put off the home alone thing till Easter, might start to get some practice in now though.
DD and OH can have a tidy through, I love coming home to a tidy house, I had left DD three jobs to do, but will add on a few more for OH.
We had an indian takeaway last night, delish, so will have the sausage beans and chips tonight.
Back to work today, as snowy said I am glad to get back to normal, I have got the month end accounts to do at work (which I enjoy)so the time should go by quickly.
DD has been invited to a 'party' on friday night in Bognor, its a sleepover and four of her friends are going, BUT I have never met the parents, not even sure where they live, and so am not keen on her going, might just pick her up late in the evening.
Sorry what a long waffiling post.
have good days all xx0 -
Morning one and all!!.
Well thats it the hoildays are officially over here!! Dh has gone off back to work and iv got up with him, need to get back into the old rountine before kids go back next week.
Catowen another one here who got the decs away and had a good tidy up, looks very bare but clean!!
Got loads done yeterday, decs away, dust clean ect, also spent a good 2 hours printing off and filling in forms that i saved from the organisedhome website before it shut, including pantery andfreezer lists, a weekly and monthly meal planner and a master to do list. I will contine to fill these in today to get myself back it to full OS swing!!
Also have rearranged budget to allow the kids to start having spending money again (we stopped it on the lead up to xmas as just couldnt afford it)
So need to draw up a rota for each of them, which all 10 items on each list must be completed to earn their weekly spends!!!( 10 sounds like alot but they will be simple things like get cahnged out of uniforms after school and hang up,pack school bags the night before, hoover bedrooms on the weekend ect ect.)
Dh said i couldnt give them any `real` housework jobs to do as he said there would be no point as they wouldnt do them to `my` standard so i would just end up doing them again!!! Whats he trying to say????LOL
Right off for more coffee then get the WM and DW on.
Hugs to all
Donna

Good morning to everyone. Had a bad night's sleep so woke up later that I wanted, which will make me feel like I'll never get everything done. Still suffering from the after-effects of the dreaded bug and it's making me grumpy because I feel as if normal life is 'on hold'. Think I'll feel better when DH is back at work - hopefully tomorrow.
DONNY-GAL - my DH twitches and it drives me mad. I don't mind his snoring but when he twitches I could kill him.
Anyway, off to have a shower so will catch up with you all later.

Morning all
Busy one today as have let housework slide for the past week due to a mix of the fact that I have felt all holidayish due to Christmas and New Year, and the fact that I am sheer lazy;)
Toaday I have to do a full ceiling-to-floor clean of the bathrooms and kitchen, find the floor in our bedroom (it isn't quite that bad but the clutter is building up as I use our bedroom to dump stuff in when I do an emergency tidy as someone is comeing round!), make 2 loaves of bread in the BM (one to freeze), and three loads of washing I also want to get a book up together so I can keep track of weekly finances / money earned through clickthroughs/amazon/ebay against money spent for christmas 2008, and I have to walk the poor doggies in a bit as they didn't get one yesterday due to my overindulging in HM wine on New Years Eve and being slightly worse for wear yesterday morning!
I also plan to take the decorations down today - kids aren't too happy with me about this, but I gave them an extra day (was going to take them down yesterday), and will do it when they are out later with their dad so they can't make me feel bad whilst I'm doing it!
Have a good day everyone.0
