Thanks, had a read and it says it doesn't remove any of your files, I am worried that it doesn't!

when you install it, deselect yahoo toolbar.

when you run it, make sure "windows log files" is not selected, and leave everything under advanced deselected.

provided you do that, it won't delete anything important, just temp files.

It won't speed up the laptop, you need more ram www.crucial.com/uk and need to do an av and antispyware scan after updating your scanners, and maybe cleanup some of those programs that start in the bottom right near the clock.

DD should be backing up.

Assuming you are downloading ccleaner, yes, the yahoo toolbar is a tickbox that comes up when you install it

Hi, further to all my difficulties with this i couldn't download the cc, no room.

So I threw in the towel and took it to a local bod i got from an ad. He did something to the partition (?), cleaned it up and loaded Mcafee, Mcafee firewall, anti-spy and (windows defender, already on?) Said it would run like a dream.

Now the machine is nightmarishly, unworkably slow, DD had to do essay on friend's computer! I asked for advice and he says I need a memory chip, not sure why this wasn't done at th time

How easy/hard is it to do chip, and does anyone know reliable place in Manchester?
