Mr SA always has trouble with them getting blood. He’s been told to drink loads of water beforehand. By contrast my veins are practically on the outside of my body highly visible and ready for blood tests 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

This morning when I nipped home I threw away some hair gel. I've had it for a few years because it's super strong, I was going to use it up on non work days but after 2 days I've realised I hate how it makes my hair feel.
I also threw away some cheap comfortable shoes because they got wet on holiday and they're made of cardboard and I'm not going to clean them sufficiently and I can replace them next year for a fiver.
I do not need to keep muddy rotting shoes, I can trust myself to have the money to replace them next summer if I need to.
I haven't spent much of my daily allowance so far this month so might make a little extra payment off my loan.
£10 extra paid off, and some put towards my dentist appointment next week.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

I'm home in my own bed but still not managed a restorative sleep. Now I've had my blood tests done I can go back on the supplements that have helped in the past.
My plan today is to rest as much as possible as I really should go back to work tomorrow. I'd be more inclined to take a few extra days off if I felt I had been actively recovering. I'll be sensible with my work load, and I'll block out an hour at lunchtime to nap/meditate/do breathing exercises or whatever my body might need.
The only thing I really want to do today is make a beef stew with plenty of veg in it.
I also need to sort out the vast amount of cardboard in this house. Has anyone ever made brickettes or logs for the fire? I'm trying to find an easy way or decide whether it's actually worth it.
I hope everyone has a restful Sunday.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

As soon as I give myself permission to do nothing I find myself wanting to do things.
I made my stew. Used up some pearl barley and the last kohlrabi from the garden.
I posted 6 things on Olio (3 collected already), and continued to declutter. I got rid of dried beans and lentils and herbs and spices that were years old.
I started the mortar on the little wall in the garden, it's completed eroded in parts so no wonder my garden is flooding. I think I'll need to build it up in the worst places.
I hoovered and mopped a bit of my living room and moved the sofas around to the winter position.
I lit the log burner and burned some confidential papers.
I did spend some money, buying some firelighters and some heat logs to try. Very lazy of me when I have logs, I just need to cut and fix my log store. I used my daily allowance/treat money as it's an unnecessary spend.
Back to work tomorrow.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

Despite the dry forecast it rained. Drizzle all day. I hope my mortar got chance to dry a bit.
First day back at work. I did the bare minimum. Stupidly used it as an excuse to buy takeaway for tea 🙄
Blood test results are back, elevated but not much more than last time. They want to test again in 3 weeks.
A few more things listed on Olio, but I haven't done much decluttering today. I've put some decluttering YouTube videos on to try to inspire me. I think it was easier when I was house sitting and just nipped back to the house quickly. I was motivated and focused. Now I just know it can be done later. I have got the log burner on though so could burn some confidential waste at least.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

Today 17 items were Olio'd out of my house! Ok so 13 of them were face masks but I'm still counting them individually.
Underwear decluttering continued. All bras tried on. 1 bra and 4 pants binned, 4 bras donated. All bras in the drawer now fit well, which will make my mornings a little easier.
I've also decluttered a first aid/medication bag.
The mortar seems to have dried ok on the wall, despite the drizzle yesterday, so I've done a bit more today.
Food delivery came today but just a smallish shop while I try to run down the pantry and freezer.
I have put 2 portion of beef stew in the freezer.
I have to go to work for a couple of hours tomorrow and I'll need to get a tank of fuel but I'm way under on the food and fuel budget so far this month.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25
