@in_need_of_direction it's a loan from a friend to buy a cheap car for work, so no interest. I have paid her 1k back so far (I borrowed 5k) and I've offered some money back since, when she might have needed it, but she's happy to wait a little while longer so I can focus on paying my other debts.
I'd like to start paying her back, and will probably insist in the summer when I've cleared one of my credit cards so I can pay her monthly instead.Debts 04/01/25 01/10/25

That's great progress, well done!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Although I've said repeatedly I'm getting a second job after summer, I think I've actually decided that my (currently limited) energy and time would be better spent decluttering the house. I'm feeling so much better from the little bit I've done so far. I've also still got a whole storage unit of my father's to deal with. I'm thinking I might try to see that as my job between now and Christmas.
I'll make a few pounds from anything I sell on vinted.
As much as I'd really like to be earning more and clearing debts faster, I think reducing my stresses (and stuff) is probably most sensible right now. Otherwise I'll be earning more but decluttering less and it'll still all be staring at me on a regular basis as something that really should have been dealt with by now.
I could also do with the time and space to do a few bits of DIY too.
I'm trying really hard to deal with life in different ways than I have in the past

You are absolutely smashing this debt busting, even with the challenges it brings.3

I think it's ok to be kind to yourself- you've achieved ever such a lot in 10 months even without the 2nd job. Theres a fine line between being as proactive as possible and running the risk of burning yourself out. Dealing with your dad's things might be quite a task both physically and emotionally and you're sticking with your budget and paying things off without taking on more paid work xx

£125 spent at the vets, more than I had expected. Some big decisions to be made too, about the old girls teeth. Removing them would be expensive and risky, but she could be in pain if I don't. She turns 10 on Sunday so I really need to decide ASAP.
Burclays bank account closed, switched to Coop, but not convinced the DDs have switched properly so I need to keep checking and pay them myself if need be. Just need to make 10 purchases with the debit card now to meet criteria. Might just pay for a few things individually next time I go to the supermarket.
I bought some mortar and tools to try and fix a leaky wall, in an attempt to stop the stream I have running through my garden when it rains. The ducks like having a swimming pool on the patio, me the dogs and chickens do not.
I'm house sitting from tomorrow for the week so should spend less, as the house is well stocked with much nicer food than I have in my house, but I do sometimes have to buy things from the local shop there so we'll see. Covid is still kicking my butt and I have decided that if I am no better by Monday I will take some sick leave to try and properly rest and recover. Doing half a job all week has not really helped.
I need to eat the last of my veg from the garden. Very pleased to have finally grown a patty pan/scallop squash after trying for about 9 years. I treated myself to some nice bread for the weekend, I'll do brown butter tomatoes to use those up. Just a few of a few different varieties but they look so pretty in a bowl together.

I haven't been as clever as you to grow my own squashes, but I have loved them coming from the vegbox delivery. I have a deep green flat one and a long yellow and orange striped one. So pretty I displayed them with red onions on my marble shelf. It will be sad to eat them! Your brown butter tomatoes sound lushIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
